They're well known for their curry which is excellent. They've recently expanded their alcoholic drinks list I believe, as suddenly there's a large menu just for drinks. They also make good Japan-style pasta dishes--their other main thing (wafuu!). There's something for everyone here. Staff is always nice. It can get crowded as it's quite small.

Never disappoints. Great menu, always stop in for a little something everytime I'm in the neighborhood.

On the Bridge remind me of Mel's Diner, but in Japanese version. No fancy stuff here, it's all classic dishes with occasional chef specialty on menu weekly. There's a split room with one side table formal seating and other is counter with tables for two. Service is fantastic as you'll be approach once seated. Drinks came quickly follow by food with not much wait time. Portions are enough for one not show properly on pictures. What you see in picture is just half of order given as close up shots are so deceiving. Good thing I ordered takoyaki appetizer along with pork cutlet curry over rice. Now don't get me wrong. I like the curry, but 4-5 pieces thin pork isn't enough. Plum sochu was refreshing to have with meal. Best to go with On the Bridge original soju flavored drinks, but the rest are also good.

Always a good place to eat with great service just try to be precise with your order and be warned there are no split checks here. "One table, one card".

Nothing like hot udon on a chilly fall day!

Got the seafood rice au gratin. Makes me feel gross from the amount of cheese and oil, but so great at the same time.

Decent place with not so impressive food. As an anime fan enjoyed the ambiance for sure.

It was very quaint and nice little place to eat and I wanted to go here for My Birthday because they have a thing called Japanese 🕠and it was DELICIOUS. I totally loved it. They had tons of Anime and Magna material and stuff. Me and My Mom were treated very nicely and hosted kindly. The Lady was very nice and I loved my experience on My Birthday. I saw several bad reviews but some good ones. I would ignore those and do my own experience of my own review. I will definitely be going back here again :)

On the Bridge is a fun and funky (in a good way!) cafe in the Japan Center. The menu strikes you as weird, at first glance - it's sort of Japanese/Italian/California "fusion." I was delightfully surprised to discover that the food was delicious! (Veggie gyoza - not many places offer this option - and garlic, basil, and mushroom-laden udon in yummy broth were standouts.) My only complaint: I wish the place was open later on a Saturday night. A plus: We showed up only about 40 minutes before closing, and they still seated and served us. I'll definitely go back when I get a chance!

This will always be my favorite place to eat. The chef is extremely kind and friendly, their meals are delicious, they have a large selections of drinks, a wide range of manga(mostly in Japanese), and they always have anime on the TV. The service here is great and always welcoming.

It's still the best and most traditional Japanese restaurant in San Francisco.

Busy Sunday afternoon. Service was not on par. Things were forgotten, but they were apologetic. This spot has always been a goto for me. Reasonable prices and good variety of options. Try the curry and their pastas. Other items are okay.

Agedashi tofu was great. Roe spaghetti was good. Quirky, cute, calming inside
