Olives and Oil Wine + Cucina

Had a very nice dinner on Saturday night. My food was very good I had the Surf and Turf and my husband had the eggplant ptarmigan. The only reason I am giving it a 4 out of 5 is that my grilled shrimp was literally refrigerator cold but it was corrected by the staff and my husband's eggplant parmigan over pasta was a little dry and could have used some more marinara!

Decided to try this place out for my moms birthday and the food was just delicious. We were seated right away and staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Definitely going again!

Wonderful open space with booths, tables and high tops. Great cocktails and wine selection. Many wines available by the glass. Appetizers, pizza, paninis, to full steak dinners. We had a pasta dish with chicken added, NY strip, calamari, house made meatballs, and shrimp cocktail. That should give you an idea of the menu depth. Nothing disappointed.

Went for a cooking class with the owner/chef, and then tasted a sample of the pasta we created. While the course could have been a bit more extensive and hands on, the end result was a great afternoon and discovery of a new restaurant to go to. The menu looked great, and the atmosphere was really inviting. While I personally am not a wine drinker, the restaurant has a huge selection of wines on tap, and those that were drinking wine seem to be pleased. A definite fun day Thanks to the chef and owners welcoming presentation.

Great fresh pasta, delicious sauses, fun wine flights, and tasty starters. Relatively inexpensive, recommended!

We had dinner at this restaurant twice during our stay in New Haven. It is located quite centrally, close to the New Haven Green and right across from Omni Hotel. We were welcomed in warmly by the staff and all throughout the service was excellent. Food did not take long to arrive either. It was excellent and really tasty. In particular, the meatballs and traditional “Apizza” were incredible. Desserts were good, but can be improved. Please note that the portions are very large, and it may be a bit of a shock to those coming from outside the US. Overall this was a very good Italian restaurant and would return if in New Haven again. Fully recommended.

Everything was delicious, brick oven pizza was done right, crispy crust, not too many toppings. Red sauce was flavorful and not too acidic either. Good meatballs and the clams were pretty good too. Never refilled my Diet Coke, but not enough of a knock to lose a star.

This place clearly knows how to serve their clients. Regularly with a very nice approach. The food is affordably priced, regularly delicious and clean.

This is officially my new favorite restaurant! It started off with bread and olives and oil (obviously)...Amazing! Then the Fritto Misto came out... FUHGEDDABOUDIT! (crispy fried calamari, shrimp, cherry peppers and lemon)...Amazing! Then my lady and I ordered a pizza pie of course i.e. Burrata Pie (tomato jam, basil pesto and truffle salt)...Amazing! Staff was great. Music was great. Decor was rich. Chef is top-notch. I felt like I walked into a bit of the roaring 20's...Amazing!Not to mention I was feeling a bit under the weather, but a nice cup of their classic hot toddy (whiskey, honey, lemon juice, orange rind and hot water) definitely did the trick.Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend. This is my spot :-)

I dined here one evening and was impressed. My cocktail was well mixed and balanced and the entree I chose was fantastic. The waiter was very friendly and knew the menu well. The decor is wonderful, and the ambiance is light and airy. There were lots of locals there, which is a sign of a reliable establishment.

New Haven has.many great pizza spots! Many are famous. This is on par with any of them!! And my personal favorite.....

I’ve been here before, drinks are always great, staff is very friendly. Today we came for brunch, and the food was just about palatable, eggs were nearly raw. Also very pricey for bottomless drinks ($25) compared to other bars in the area.

The restaurant was really good, the personal was very attentive, and the food was fenomenal. The most important is that i had my first date there, and 2 months after we had the second date celebrating our 2 months of having a happy relationship. ❤️❤️
