The Old Castle Pub and Restaurant is a bustling bar in the heart of Midtown Manhattan and only steps away from Times Square and the Theater District on 54th Street between 6th Ave and 7th Avenue. The bar first opened its doors in 2000 and since has been a hub of activity ever since. The idea was to provide a unique Irish experience incorporating the warmth of an Irish pub with New American cuisine and all the while maintaining the same charm and hospitality. The Oldcastle is the ideal place in New York to host any occasion. Open seven days a week, The Oldcastle offers breakfast,lunch and dinner excellent weekend brunch menu. Located on two floors with a private party room fitting over 100 people and overlooking 54th Street, The Oldcastle is a popular venue for all ages. The best of American and International sports are shown on 16 HD Plasma TV's as well as two 8' projectors. Offering daily food and drinks specials, this is the ideal happy hour hangout.

Mediocre food and non-existent service. Not surprised because I was a guest of the NYRW. But I was surprised that the server didn't bother to check on my party at all and we even had to flag someone down for a simple water refill.For a $$$$ establishment, I think they could do way better. It was difficult to communicate with the servers when they don't understand English well. The server couldn't really understand me from time to time even though their menu was simple and straightforward. Their bathroom is clean (located downstairs near the main entrance) with paper towels.
