They have excellent service and very friendly staff. The restaurant is very cozy and clean. The food was great at a good price. I loved the beef stew and the pepper steak. Definitely would recommend!

Found this place searching for a Chinese restaurant that is also Halal. The cumin lamb is a must. I didn’t love the green onion pancake, as it didn’t have much flavor of green onion and appeared to have been deep fried rather than pan fried, but it was fresh and crispy. The eggplant was prepared well, but there was too much sugar in the sauce. It made us sleepy after the meal. Location is cozy and looks family-run.

A friend who loves me dearly brought me to Old Mandarin about 7 years ago. I have been in love with their Tofu Green Beans and their Cumin Lamb ever since. I haven't really tried any other meals due to my food allergies, but I haven't messed a beat; these meals are totally fine by me. â¤ï¸

This recently became my family’s go to take out spot and we have thoroughly enjoyed all the food from here!

The salt and pepper tofu was awesome, tho I wish it had come with some sort of sauce or more veggies. The Mongolian todu was pretty tasty, and the chicken dishes were all home runs. The restaurant is very small but the staff works hard to accommodate any customers and turns over tables very quickly. There is beer menu but it is not listed on the menu. A nice find to be sure.

Food was really good. Best lamb I’ve had in a long time. Owner says they buy from a place in sacramento that keeps the male and female sheep separate which minimizes the gamey-musty flavor lamb sometimes has. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Dumpling were excellent and dry stir fry dishes with cumin were very distinctly western Chinese.

Nice place. The food is good, I had beef with green onions plus steam rice. A little expensive. Have to come back to try more plates. The service is good. Will come back.

Food was amazing. Hospitable staff. Tucked off location makes for a calmer setting great for a relaxing evening dinner.

Excellent food, cozy atmosphere and genuinely nice staff/owners. Great lamb dishes and other menu items you won't find at your average Chinese restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.

The food here is delicious! No pork, of course, but lots of amazing lamb dishes... especially the “whole lamb†soup (which means soup with all parts of the lamb) is worth writing a poem about.
