Looks can be deceiving... I was almost fooled by the appearance of the Old King Bistro but am so glad I went in. It was very clean and cozy, with lovely jazz music playing. Service was prompt and personable. Our food was exactly what I needed- fluffy French toast with homemade berry sauce and real (!!!) maple syrup, perfect eggs, yummy ham and fluffy but crispy potatoes with fresh avocado on the side. Very affordable for the quality. It seems like a family business with a lot of care put into the details. If I was local to Kitchener, I’d be a regular. I can’t recommend Old King Bistro enough!

Went here today. I'm here from out of town and it's near my hotel. The people there were very friendly and helpful. Great service.Onto the food. Their breakfast was awesome. Everything was cooked perfectly. My girlfriend had the vegetarian omelette and loved it. I had your majesty, which is bacon and eggs with home fries. All, great. Bacon wasn't dripping with grease like most places either. Home fries were perfect.

Food was great! The quality was punching above its weight class (with respect to price). For example they used real maple syrup instead of table syrup. Service was also really nice. The people there accommodated our big group nicely and were attentive to the child in the group. Prices were also really reasonable. I highly recommend.

Super friendly service, reasonable prices and really yummy food! The burger bun was probably one of the best I have had in a very long time. The tomatoes tasted like actual tomatoes (they had flavour!) The Caesar salad had real strips of bacon, not bacon crumble or fake bacon bits, which I appreciated. I really enjoyed my meal and will be going back to try the chicken sandwich. Oh, and they use compostable takeaway containers, which is a bonus.

Love it here. Food is awesome. Staff are friendly and remember you. Great Carnivore Omlete <-- our usual Sunday breakfast. Stopows in for lunch (Crispy Chicken Sandwich, yummy!) Portion sizes are great.

Decided to try out Old King Bistro today for a couple of breakfast plates,never eaten there before but I'll be a repeat customer going forward! I had the Majesty breakfast and my girlfriend had the King Florentine and both were cooked perfectly and exactly how we ordered them. We did the pre order and picked it up ourselves due to the Covid-19 virus and it was a breeze to order from their website and it was ready at the time they stated it would be,simple process at the door to get the food! All in all a fantastic experience and I highly recommend OKB!! Support local!!
