Old Florida Fish House

Look! This is a place that everyone should visit at least once when visiting 30A. I went with friends for a "fancier" night out (dress shirt, slacks, and dress shoes kinda night). The building definitely lends itself to that sorta of occasion: soft mood lighting, white walls, dark furniture, and a whimsical lit tree covered walk way. However, if you want to be more casual (shorts and a polo), you will not be the only one. The menu is simple (2 pages) with a decent amount of options for those do not like seafood. The food was well cooked! The 12 oz NY Strip was so tender and juicy with delicious grill marks. For dessert, we had their [warm] brownie and ice cream! So good! The food is a bit pricey, but for what you get the price is definitely justified. Like I said, I definitely think everyone should go at least once while visiting.

Fried green tomatoes and shrimp corn chowder were perfect and wonderful as remembered. As well the crab cakes on angel hair and grouper with soft crab on top was some of the best food I've had in a long time. Amy, our server was top notch with a calm, knowledgable laid back, no rush attitude with many years of experience. And don't forget the to die for key lime pie. A definite 5+ rating from me and I will definitely come back.

Our family of 6 had a great experience! Mike was our server and he was attentive to our needs and made several great menu recommendations. The food was some of the best I’ve had on 30A so far! Sushi was incredible and came out a reasonable time before our entrees. Food tastes fresh and light. Can’t wait to go back!

Sara is an excellent server, very attentive and friendly!! Food was great as usual.

Loved this place, food was simply delish. Our server and kitchen were very accommodating when we requested a couple side dish substitutes. If you love shrimp and grits, I ordered the shrimp dish and requested it blackened - with grits as a sub for the veggies or the dirty rice. The outside was charming with Christmas decorations. The ladies room offered a free sea salt hand scrub which they also sell on site. Highly recommend.

Went for lunch, very cool place. Staff was excellent and very attentive. I mean fried food is fried food, if I'm being honest it's nothing special but then again if you are looking for something boujee this isn't the place for you. Lots of cool stuff to do outside like ping pong and bean bags, and it over looks a very quiet lake with a patio on the water. If you're looking for a fried seafood basket and a beer with some entertainment for you and the kids, this is the place to be.

Great spot that has it all; live music, an indoor bar, sushi bar, and outdoor bar. The food was utterly superb and the staff was equally prompt and friendly. I haven't had a chance to explore more of the menu, but the blackened snapper was divine.

Unfortunately this place was closed except for takeout due to the virus scare. We were told that no one was allowing indoor seating as of that day.we were able to find a place that did indoor seat for one more day.

Really great crab cakes!! Beautiful scenery outdoors! They also have indoor seating. After dinner you can take a walk to their upper deck overlooking the water. A little pricier here due to location, but food is worth it!

Great food, great sushi! Staff is fantastic and the place has made so many improvements from the previous owner. However, please please make your staff and servers wear masks to provide a safe dining experience. I know that this is an option for Florida, however you and your staff can go beyond and above what Florida requires.

Always a great time at the Fish House. Music is always good. Bar service can be a little slow during busy times but that’s par for the course anywhere.

Loved this place! Great atmosphere. Had two bands, one outside and one inside. A lot of people hanging outside by the lake playing games. The food was delicious! My wife had the Grouper plate and I had the Fried Fishhouse platter, both were great. They have a great sushi selection and from talking with other guest there, it was highly recommended.

The crab cakes...5 star. The pasta they came with....bland. The service was TERRIBLE. They only got 3 of our 7 dishes correct and didn’t bother to take them back to redo them the CORRECT way. The server had to keep being reminded of HOW TO DO HIS JOB. Our drinks were constantly empty and on top of the terrible service and incorrect (and unfixed) meals, they added 20% gratuity to the bill. So I had to pay even more for this awfulness and didn’t get the opportunity to opt out. The manager came to ask about how everything was, but still didn’t do anything to fix it!!!! Save yourself a trip, go somewhere else. My family and I surely will NOT be back.

Outdoor seating opened and shady. Food was awesome as usual! Always love the atmosphere and service was great.
