This was my first time here and do not normally do a review after one visit. I believe this place has been there for 65 years or so. I love the character of turning an old house into a restaurant as there are a couple of these in Williamsburg. The menu is very limited, which is expected for this type of restaurant. It really is only a breakfast and lunch place. They do serve dinner on a Saturday and Sunday now, also from a small menu. Prices are good for what you get and the food was not bad at all. Except for the chocolate pie, it seemed a little aged as maybe from the day before or so because the pudding was breaking away from the crust and slightly congealed. The atmosphere was nice, the people that work there are extremely nice and the other clientele seems to be mainly an older crowd. The building is half restaurant half store (think of a cracker barrel except way smaller).

What a nostalgic landmark. Well worth the wait. Don't recommend it for small children.

The Chicahominy House menu doesn't change. It's not the place you'll get seasonal, farm to table cuisine. So don't come for that. Come for excellent biscuits and ham, a warm atmosphere and southern hospitality.

Nice enough place with a great charming feel. The food was all right but not as much of a wow factor as other reviewers seemed to indicate. We had a very attentive server who was a lot of fun. The price/quality ratio wasn't great, but the experience was good. Also, the restaurant's store was very enjoyable to browse through. I believe my wife and sister both bought some interesting stuff there.

Best ham biscuits and home made pie. Great coffee just adds a plus !

Great food. Particularly the ham biscuits. Their square flat biscuits are very different than those you get at most restaurants. Add the country ham and they are nothing short of delicious.

A unique experience for old southern Virginia food. The Miss Melinda Special is the classic dish. Comes with iced tea, an interesting fruit salad of half peach, a pineapple slice, cheese, and mayo, Brunswick stew, ham and biscuit sandwich, and a pie slice. The stew and sandwich was very tasty. I had the buttermilk pie. Pretty good. Could have used a slight dusting of powder sugar.

The pie was so good the bathroom was a little messy but I probably won't come back

Yes yes yes, to the Chickahominy House. Always great food in an almost colonial plantation home dining room setting. People and said family generations have been going there for decades, our family too.

Wow! What a great little place for breakfast or lunch. Loved our southern breakfast and look forward to a return visit for chicken and dumplings! Great little shop right there too!

Always great food and a very pleasant staff. I’ve been coming here for years and each experience and meal is always great. Love Miss Virginia, Dan, and Carla. The best creamed ham and biscuits you can find anywhere in Virginia!
