Okaru

We were referred to this place in one of the arcades after having some intense cravings for okonomiyaki. We ordered the mountain vegetable mix and also some akashiyaki on the side - both were delicious! The servers were attentive and very skilled at getting our okonomiyaki ready. I also ordered some umeshu. A solid restaurant for okonomiyaki in Nara!

Great food and good staff

Actually we wanted to order okonomiyaki with soba, but end up we ordered wrongly just only yakisoba. But surprisingly this yakisoba is so flavourful and delicious!!!! And it’s just perfect to stir fried in front of us and eat it directly from the pan because it serves with hot ! So overall is very good experience ^^

Came here on my first visit to Japan and loved it so much! No on my second visit that told my friend we should eat there after visiting the temples and we bought loved the food and service. Would recommend to anyone

Special Okonomiyaki + Special Yakisoba2 people can eat enough!Put the dough and ingredients in a bowl, mix them in front of your eyes and cook them on an iron plate! The taste is so good and the atmosphere is small but it was good! Personally it was like going back to Nara to eat this!

Very friendly staff. Helped us a lot trying to communicate with us despite the language. The food was delicious.

We were looking for something different than the standard Japanese fair, and this definitely delivered!! Everyone in the family loved their dish! Service was also excellent. Finally, the table top cooking was fun and novel.

Best cooked meal I had in Japan!

They will prepare it for you on the teppanyaki plate. The yakisoba could have a little more flavor. I myself took the cheese / tuna yaki, Okonomiyaki dough with canned tuna and cheese on it. Satisfied though you mainly taste the tuna and cheese of course. The portion was on the small side and prices are somewhat higher. Herbs, fine katsou sushi and 2 types of sauce are on the table (slightly spicy and sweet). I have requested some mayonnaise because it is not on the table. They are small bags "Kewpie" that you get. I thought that the teppanyaki plate was set fairly warm so that the yakisoba and okonomiyaki on it quickly brown and get a crust ...

Nice okonomiyaki and akashiyaki. They have an English menu. Service was good

Delicious okonomiyaki. I preferred this to the ones we had in Osaka as they weren't drowned in sauce. Can't comment on the other offerings but they looked good. Prices for food and drink are very reasonable and the staff are great at helping to cook the food on the hotplates at the tables. Also English menus are a definite bonus.p
