heard such great things about this place my husband and I had to try it.$26.00 dissapointment, does not sell what advertised. Ordered chicken and waffles. Got blueberry Eggo‘s. Called to asked about the order, the man said. “What I want doesn’t matter, this is what you get.”

Heard about this place and have been trying for months to find an excuse to drive into the heart of Ogden...boy was I missing out! If great food and an experience you'll never forget, then Smokehouse is your place. Smokehouse Diner serves the best fried chicken and fries hands down in Calgary. The gravy is heavenly with just the right amount of pepper and not salty. Sorry Cluck and Cleaver, Fritou, Chicken on the Way, Mary Brown and all the others, this is the king.Call ahead for your order, find your table and let Doc take it from there.My new favorite hidden gem

The owner is really realy rude! The way he talked to me and friend is really rude. The worest experience in my life in Canada. I will never recommand anyone comes to this terrible place!

Wow, the chicken here us so juicy and tasty! You gotta try it. Don't worry about the reviews telling you that the guy running the place us not friendly. He warms up pretty fast!You want REALLY GOOD fried chicken? THIS is where you will find it!

Great chicken very tasty will go back again

Found the chicken to be fresh but, too salty- which kill joyed the flavour. Salad, and fries were both very good. Service was fairly good- The staff member I encountered could definitely use more enthusiasim towards new customers! Overall, pretty decent. Would of gave a five star if the breading on the chicken wasn't so salty and, if the staff member I dealt with was more upbeat.

This little diner is good for a quick bite. They serve really good pressured cooked fried chicken for a decent price. The is a little old and run down, but that's what gives it the 'diner feel'. The owner is very friendly too.

First, the fried chicken is quite good. However it's the only positive of the restaurant.Owner is not friendly, will NOT serve food on the menu unless it is fried chicken. My friend wanted a beef sandwich but the owner basically refused to make it and insisted us to order chicken. Restroom is very dirty. Other 1 star review is correct. It is basically a shthole restaurant serving decent friend chicken, but everything else will turn you off.

I visit this restaurant quite a lot. I love the taste of the spicy chicken. The fries and gravy are amazing as well. Always a great meal and it arrives in a fast time.

Great place, great guy and great fried chicken! This is my boyfriends favourite chicken place and now I know why. Super interesting little place, lots of character. It's a hidden gem. The chicken was crispy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside. would definitely go back again
