So, this is not a fancy place. Know this before you go. If you need a fancy place without wood paneling and a dog living there, go across the street. Service has never been fantastic, but it's ok. The things you should order are, fresh oysters, key lime pie, crab balls, beer, tea. Eat that and you will be happy. It's consistent, except they do run out of items and it is what it is.

This place was amazing!! The food was fresh and delicious! I cannot express how good this was... hush puppies ( Best ever!)... Fried Fish ( Amazing!) Fried Shrimp ( Absolutely delicious!)... the restaurant itself is pretty quaint and simple, has a fish market area when you come in, mom and pop, laid back atmosphere, very casual... the food was pretty damn Awesome!!

Food great. Service good. However, they will not seperate checks. They serve canned drinks, not fountain.

Not the place to go if you like fried oysters. I really didn't care for the cornmeal batter and they were overcooked. Ordered a dozen and got 9. Way overpriced for the amount of food you get.

We’ve eaten at Oceans Of Seafood many times over the years. The best fish platters in Port A .. and first class service from Chelsea. We never miss eating at Oceans of Seafood when we are in Port A. Our highest recommendation!

Shrimp cocktail, mahimahi, fries, corn fritters. The staff here was friendly and service was on point. We enjoyed the atmosphere, as it seemed to be a family run business and the staff all were pleasant with each other as well as with us. But.......the food. The shrimp and fish tasted fresh, however the portions were absurdly small. The corn fritters were dissapointing and tasted like toddler food. We must have ordered the wrong things, as other reviewers rave about the food.

Have really liked this place in the past. Hopefully just caught them on an off day. Price was a but high for the quality and quantity of food.

Waitress was very good while quite busy. Gumbo came out lukewarm. Sent back to warm. Heavy on the Tabasco. Would have been great with a lighter touch. Like most places on the island not cheap

**This review is for the market section onlyPlus: shrimp was fresh and delicious. Snapper was good also. Homemade tartar sauce was good.Minus: prices were unposted and turned out to be high ($26 for 10 shrimp and 1+ lb. of red snapper). Employee at the market offered no guidance but broadly hinted that he wanted a tip (for what - wrapping up our purchase?!).Misc.: Don't know if this is standard but the skin was still on the snapper.

Don't go to this establishment, 3 of the plates for a table of 10 had hair. The orders came out and it resembled a child menu in looks and portions..... again not to re mention the hair on the plate and hair wrapped in the shrimp and batter.... utterly nasty.....took pictures and will be forwarding all info to Texas health commission

It's so good, fresh and cooked to perfection! We make the drive from Ft Worth to this place and never been disappointed! Staff & Owners are also great people! Plan your next weekend getaway.😊
