We are big fans of Le Bouchon and long time patrons, we wish it was easier getting into it, it is just so small!!! It is wonderful to learned that they opened up Obelix nearby so we came with high hopes. We know the dishes are a bit different than Le Bouchon, more on the fancy side but nonetheless we came for the Wellington. The Escargot is quite normal, 3 stars at the most, I like it with more garlic. I think there is more garlic in the aioli for the fries than in the Escargot. The peach salad is nice, refreshing but not impressive and missing the complexity typically present in French cuisines, especially the fancy versions. The Wellington on the other hand was perfect. Very large portion enough for 3, 4 if small eats. The filet was a perfect medium rare, almost like it has been aged (no blood), perfectly seasoned. The mushroom layer is not too overwhelming and balanced. The pastry layer was also made to perfection. Most people don't realize how difficult it is to make a perfect Wellington. The last time we had comparable Wellington was at Ramsey's in Vegas. This is a must have if you are a fillet fan and looking for something that has more complexity and depth. The sauce which came with the Wellington on the other hand was too salty and somewhat overwhelming the beef taste. The hollandaise sauce for the asparagus was so thick that it has to be scooped out, the color and texture actually reminded me of thickened nacho cheese and also on the salty and overly spicy side. I would recommend to skip both. Great atmosphere, good service and awesome wine selections. A few thing on the service side seems missing though, no change out of the bread plate for the appetizers and no scrapping off of the breadcrumbs. I don't expect this at Le Bouchon but I think it should be basic here. We will definitely come back for the duck offerings.

Far better than Le Select, Obelix masters the upscale bistrot vibe. Welcome Asian flare on dishes like skate wing katsu, balanced by French favorites steak frites, salted brilliantly and charred just right, as well as decadent escargots. Much though is a la carte and pricey so you'll pay through your French nose! Rabbit dish is beautiful and tasty. Foie gras makes many appearances but not all are hits (the taco part of the seared foie is no bueno). Baked Alaska is sublime; the chocolate soufflé, divine. Ample wine and beer list, to include many unique French listings. Service 8/10. Music level appropriate 2/10 and guest chatter amps up the volume.

Went here for brunch and it was super tasty! My friend recommended but wasn’t sure what to expect as I’m not a huge fan of French cuisine but I got to say that the food here is flavorful. The quiche was probably one of my favorites and the snail roll was a nice savory surprise. It doesn’t really taste like snails and the bread it came on was so flakey mmm. The lobster crepe was good however it was really mushroom heavy. Thankfully it was easy to remove the mushrooms. All in all I would recommend and come again!
