Enjoyed the sushi and the calm atmosphere. It isn’t unique among restaurants of its kind but the sashimi was good too so I would come back.

Not at all what I expected. I had chicken teriyaki, the chicken was cold and I think it was pre cooked. It wasn't fried rice like I thought just sticky rice. The vegetables were just ok. The sushi was very fishy. I know it is raw fish but it shouldn't taste that fishy. The service was good, friendly but slow for as few customers to be there. For the money spent I guess I was looking for great food. Disappointed to say the least. Maybe I am just a small town girl that is used to hokkaido where the food is good as is the service.

O Sushi! Is more than "just" sushi, eventhough I went for and dined on, sushi. The menu was extensive without being overwhelming. In addition to sushi, they also have a variety of ramen noodle bowls and Japanese dishes. Reasonably priced lunch entrees featured several sushi rolls and bento boxes which included Tonkatsu. The sushi was well prepared, fresh and presentation was attractive. Service was great. The young woman was helpful in explaining the menu items, made suggestions and had an overall pleasant demeanor. I enjoyed my lunch with them. I can't wait to give the Tonkatsu and the ramen noodle bowls a try.

Some of the best sushi in Birmingham. Very fresh, high quality sushi, not over priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very clean and peaceful also.

I really like this place. Service is above average, but the food...wow. Not just "good sushi for Alabama," but good sushi period. Ginger salad is a little watery, the sauce should be thicker and the sweet tea is waaaaay too sweet. The Roll Tide Roll and Rainbow Roll are amazing.

Great sushi. Tuesday specialty rolls are $8.95 and sake is 1/2 price! Great service also!

This place is great. The service was well-paced as well as super friendly. The food quality was great. The sushi was fresh and flavorful as well portioned. The chefs here know what they are doing. I was impressed with the fatty tuna sashimi as well as the Saké selection. They have some great entry level selections as well as a lot of junmai as well. The aesthetics of the food presentation were warm and inviting. It is cozy and space is limited but that works with the overall feel. My wife and I felt valued as customers and I will definitely come back here in the future.

Good! A great selection of sushi, sashimi, and ramen dishes. Nice, friendly service. A convenient location if you live in Hoover or the surrounding neighborhoods. The prices for dishes can be a little high (the largest sashimi platter is about $30) but it's worth the cost for the presentation and the quality. Hot, hot wasabi! I'd personally recommend skipping dessert; the sesame balls are dense and a little oily.

This is the best sushi I’ve ever had. I know, it sounds crazy. However, the sushi here is unparalleled in Alabama.

Questions & Answers

yep

No.

The cucumber and avocado rolls are basically the only entrees available. For appetizers, you could get the seaweed salad, or possibly some edamame or tofu. There's also the miso soup and house ginger salad. But that's about it -- the rest of the menu is seafood-based with a few meat-based options. You could try asking for some custom rolls, but there probably aren't many vegan ingredients besides rice, cucumber, and avocado.
