Not Your Average Joe's

The service itself was good— friendly staff and waitress. But the food was AWFUL! Bread and oil served at the beginning when seated was completely cold. Broccoli cheddar soup had no flavor whatsoever— after taste was similar to eating a dried cheese powder package from instant macaroni and cheese. Alcoholic drinks contained no/almost zero alcohol. Chicken was totally cold. Dumplings had close to no flavor, unless dipped in tremendous amounts of soy sauce. All in all, a terrible experience, and I will definitely not be coming back.

The food is good and we love the bread. However, the cleanliness is not exactly next to Godliness. Also, they brought my salad out without dressing and the waitress was a bit distracted.

This is the first and last time I order from here. I got the cheesesteak egg rolls and the brussel sprouts. Both are disgusting. The egg rolls have no type of flavor and mushy on the inside. And the sauce that was given was like a teaspoon of it. The price of this was ridiculous!!! For what I got. The brussel sprouts are burnt and hard on the inside. And it taste like it has vinegar on it. The worst experience.

Always a great meal and wonderful Gluten Free menu. Staff is gracious and attentive. We love it here

Happy hour...not so happy anymore. They have cheaped out on 1/2 price apps and now have $5 small plates. Just ok.

Super attentive waiter. Great with allergies. But make sure if you want a straw you ask for one-the restaurant is not giving out straws unless directly asked by customers.

The food here is always fantastic. This is my go-to place when I am in the area seeing a movie since they are right next door to the theater. There can be a pretty long wait so it is best to make a reservation in advance through their website or by calling in. The staff are usually pretty attentive as well.

I feel like their food hasn't been consistent lately... the brussel sprouts were burnt.. the burger was dry dry... they brought us GF bread which was delicious and warm.. but the second round wasnt warmed at all and if you know gf bread it's hard to hold well. So when it wasnt warmed it was very dry and fell apart.

The the bread and appetizers were amazing but the food was just pretty good. On the pricey side overall but good size portions make it a little better. Overall I'd go back but probably order something different. The burgers were good, but not $16 good

Excellent place! Would definitely return if I lived in the state. Stopped here after a terrible experience somewhere else. We were seated right away by what seemed like the manager. The server came over almost immediately. The menu was not overwhelming but had plenty of options. The bread was tasty but super tough to chew. The oil mixture served with the bread was flavorful. We got Clam chowder 3⭐, Shrimp scampi 3⭐ and Chicken parm 4.5⭐. The clam chowder was good, shrimp scampi needed more lemon and too much garlic. The chicken was delicious overall. Great experience. Server was super nice!

The food is always good, and the value for money is decent. The service, though, is why NYAJ's is our go-to restaurant. Our kids have food allergies, and the servers, kitchen staff, and managers always take that seriously. I feel safe bringing the kids there because I know their allergies won't be dismissed.Our last visit was on a Saturday. It was busy. Our server, Taylor, not only recognized us as customers she had served once before, but remembered that my kids had allergies and was diligent about checking to make sure their food was safe, and making alterations to ensure that. She also, despite the busyness, kept our drinks full throughout the meal without reminders from us.

This example of the chain is next to a theater our family enjoys. The chain is usually very good, and this one has the great atmosphere and fantastic bread with olive oil starter. Service was fantastic. We were greeted well and felt welcome. Our server was first rate, we never wanted for anything. She took our order accurately and completely. She treated us really well and her part of dining experience was fantastic. And then there was the food... I ordered something simple, grilled chicken and steamed broccoli. The chicken breast was beyond thin, and so badly overcooked there was zero moisture left in it. The broccoli was supposed to be steamed, but it was essentially raw. Everything was bland and flavorless. This is unusual for the chain. The same food ordered from the Nashua location is really good. I'm thinking the kitchen had a bad day. Other than the food we enjoyed the experience.
