This restaurant is very close to Golden Gate park. Food was very different from what we are used to in chain Mexican restaurants. Looked and tasted very gourmet. It is on pricier side, also portions are not as large as what you get in chain restaurant. However the food we ordered were very tasty. Worth a try.

Although it can get crowded for brunch, and it’s rather expensive, Nopalito is very consistent with their food and the margaritas are excellent (sour and not sweet). Definitely my fav brunch spot or take out if I’m looking for something fancier than Gordo’s. The quesadilla is quite good, the carnitas is a nice bit of food, they topitos are also great. It’s a bit dumbed down, but it’s still fresh. Get a pitcher of margaritas. The micheladas are a bit too “SF†but you can request a more traditional one.
