The omakase menu was spot on. Excellent seafood prepared very well by a nice staff in an intimate setting designed to get a conversation going with the stranger next to you. Very good wine and sake drink list that complements the food very well.

I went there tonight and I can’t stop thinking about it. Highlights include the hiramasa, anything with a Thai accent, the clam miso soup, the A5 Wagyu, and the beverage pairings. This was an exceptional meal and while I can’t afford it frequently, I can’t think of a better special occasion restaurant in Boston. Bravo!

Overall good experiences. Would have given 5 stars but rice was too seasoned.

If I can I give 10 stars. The best Japanese food in Boston. Sorry for the other Japanese restaurants in Boston, but the No Relation is in another level, a very high upper level. Thanks for all food served.

Incredible sushi experience and service by the chefs and staff. The fish selections were wonderful and well put together, each piece bringing something new and different to the table. The sake selections for the pairing are also a great addition to the meal. Great place to go for a special event! Or if you just love great omakase sushi.

This is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Boston. From the design of the place, to the experience when you arrive, to the food and the pairings, it is honestly just incredible. One of my favorite things about it is at the end they offer the entire menu (and a bit more) a la carte so you have the option to finish the meal with your favorite bite. If you have the chance to go, I cannot recommend it enough. It is a fun night out to go to the early reservation and then finish up with some tiki drinks at Shore Leave.

This is our 1st time dine at this restaurant, we were worried we might not be full but we were. We enjoyed most of sushi except mackerel I always find it has strong fishy taste. The white sturgeon would better without caviar. It over power the rest of dish. Overall it was pleasant experience.

A cool spot for Boston standards as a small Japanese inspired room at the back of a tiki bar. Excellent quality fish and rice, and a very knowledgeable somm. The music was a bit quiet and because of that it was a very intimate experience, only things missing were a wow factor in the food and experience, this was a traditional sushi dinner with high quality ingredients. The only unique dish was a Boston inspired miso soup to complete the meal, but it left you wanting more.

This experience was gifted to my boyfriend and I as a Christmas gift. I couldn’t have asked for a better gift. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with a touch of elegance. There is no real dress code which is great if you’re making a special occasion or just treating yourself on a random Wednesday night. The food was spectacular and fresh. The fish is specially ordered only a week or two in advance so ensure peak flavor. The chefs are knowledgeable and willing to teach and share tips for at home cooks. We had a blast and are looking forward to returning for a different season to have a different menu. I can’t recommend this experience enough!

No Relation was an enjoyable experience. You are seated in a small back room with about 10 seats around a sushi counter with 3 chefs and a somm who was very knowledgeable about sake and helped us choose an excellent bottle. It was a cozy, warm, intimate atmosphere where the patrons can have easy conversations with the staff. The ingredients are high quality and the amount of food was about right to be satisfied. The nigiri presentations were pretty. However, I felt a number of the preparations covered the natural taste of the fish and the sushi rice was ok. When going to a high-end sushi restaurant, I would hope to get a showcase of the fish itself, but sometimes that got buried in the flavors used here. Anyway, for the $95, I felt I got my money's worth, but there are better omakase in Boston if you want a true fish tasting showcase. Go to No Relation for the atmosphere.
