Very expensive hot pot. Small potions and the seafood and sushi is very average for the price. So average I didn't even bother taking pictures. 6 people 1bottle of wine over $800usd?! If all options are full you can always get a table here.

A popular shabu shabu restaurant at “Hirafu’s food street”. One can get expensive dinner set but we’re happy with their basic Wagyu beef set at ¥8000 only (tax & service charge not included). The quality of beef was good & I would consider cheap this price. We never tried their sashimi & hence not able to comment. In addition to the traditional Japanese bonito soup base hot pot, we opted for the chicken soup too which was good to boil tofu, mushrooms & delicious to drink the soup afterwards. The worst part of the set was the ramen which tasted not good at all. Worth re-visiting but advance booking is recommended.

The sushi rice wasn't packed that well, but the shabu meats were excellent!

We were served without a reservation, which can be quite difficult in Hirafu and during ski season. The service was quite attentive, and the serving portions were fair. We had a good amount of sashimi, fresh oysters and a beef rice bowl to go with sake. No complaints, all good. Price was as on par with Niseko prices.

Fantastic food! Lovely presentation and atmosphere, would go again next time I'm in the area.We had a seafood + shabu shabu tasting, 12000 JPY per person.

Best Japanese food I’ve eaten in years. Yes, it’s pricey but with such amazing food, atmosphere and service that goes above and beyond, it’s definitely worth the money. Our server Catie took care of us all night, ensuring we had a wonderful time and had enjoyed our delicious meals. When we were unsure where to go after dinner for a few more drinks, she recommended her favourite bar in the area and we had a great time there too. I can't recommend this restaurant more highly.

Is it expensive for Japanese people?

12k yen for fresh seafood+hotpot. Favourite for my meals are the big fat hotate(scallops) + Spencer beef slices! The scallops was so good, definitely beats many places I've been in Hokkaido and Tokyo. Service was impressive and all the snow crab was cut specially so that we can eat it with just a simple crack. However 🍣 can be improved as the rice was on the mushy side. which is why I deducted 1 star from my review. Their hot and spicy soup taste alittle like curry in my opinion but still good. Bonitosoup looks clear but it was really flavourful :) Will definitely go back if I'm in niseko again.
