As a lover of Eritrean food, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to check this place out. The flavors were on point and delicious. They have a full bar too!

I love this place. The food is tasty and the staff are friendly. I took a group of friends that had never tried Ethiopian food and the wait staff suggested some great choices. There is great lighting in the rear of the place too. I will return again and again!

Love this restaurant. If you can get used to eating with your hands, and like delicious vegetable and meat dishes give this place a try.we always get the sambusa appetizers, a vegetable or meat combo dish, and top that off with a steamed milk and honey drink. It is going on 18 years since we've been eating there and we never had anything we didn't like!PS - you can ask for a fork and spoon if you don't want to try using your hands

The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great! It was a few years since I last came here until recently and I can tell you that it hasn't changed! So they are consistent with their service and their food! Plus if you haven't tried the Honey Wine you need to!

I love this place I've been going there over 15years. We even had my wonderful 65th birthday party there with 30 people it was fabulous. The food is sooo delicious! The service is outstanding. The decor warm, attractive and inviting. Did I say I love this place? This place feed my soul

I came here with my friends tonight, and we absolutely loved it! Make no mistake – it's easy to gloss over on Irving, but New Eritrea is every bit as good as others say, and definitely worth a try. Prices are reasonable, portions are decent, and they have a full bar... and pour heavy! The service was wonderful; our server was attentive and polite but did not rush us. Everything was delicious, and there was a robust and varied vegetarian section of the menu. We will definitely be back, and next time, I'm bringing more friends!

Great food and beer and nice place! We loved the experience.

This is a lively and fun place for the inner Sunset. Good spot to sit at the bar, and grab a bite in the early evening. The food is good and the beer is inexpensive. The atmosphere is upbeat. Reminiscent of the mission or lower Haight, sort of.
