Popular chicken and waffles restaurant New Center Eatery is relocating to a larger space on Woodward Avenue in Detroit. On Monday, the restaurant was awarded a $25,000 grant through Detroit’s Motor City Match program that will help fund the transition into a new location in the New Center neighborhood. The new location is listed as 6549 Woodward Ave. in the former Prince Men’s Wear space, just around the corner from New Center Eatery’s present building on West Grand Boulevard. When it reopens in its new location, the restaurant is expecting to add between four and six additional jobs to accommodate the larger space.
