Nelson Cottage by High West

Great atmosphere, great service, great food, great fun.

The Nelson Cottage hosted our wedding reception in September and we have nothing but good things to say! For starters, the food is amazing. Every dish they brought out was delicious. But the staff truly shines with their hospitality. They were so attentive to each guest and made sure everybody's cup was full of their favorite cocktail or wine. If you are looking to try one restaurant in Park City, add this place to your list. We also attended one of the prix fixe meals back in February and all of the above applies to their family style dinners that they host.

Amazing food and service!

The venue was neat, but the food did not match up to the price. $85/person...$145 if you got the whiskey paring. We had to wait outside for 20 minutes even though they invited us to arrive early for horderves and drinks. It was 18 degrees outside. By the way...the drinks with alcohol were not free. There was a fixed menu and we had a person with nut alergies and they had to have him skip one of the courses because the could not do the tuna without nuts.

Came here for a dinner hosted by the Deer Crest Club for members. Outstanding experience. Had a whiskey pairing with dinner menu items. The cottage is lovely and very nice. Great place to have an intimate event.

Don't get me wrong, the food was okay. The truffle macaroni and cheese was one of the best dishes I've ever had! However, that's the issue..... For 330 dollars for two people I paid for fancy macaroni and cheese with 4 shots of very good whiskey. I feel the meal was incredibly overpriced ....The meal included 6 courses with 4 whiskey pairings. Only two of the four courses were something to write home about (Macaroni and cheese with truffles, and the oil cake with pistachio ice cream). The other four courses were EXTREMELY mediocre. I'm actually very dissatisfied with the meal. If you want a delicious meal, this is not the place for you. It's incredibly overpriced, and the family style meal where you have to share with everyone else on your table is kind of silly for the price.... I would absolutely not go here again. The staff was very friendly and attentive though.

Inna was very rude upon entering The High West...poor customer relations !!! We waited an extreme amount of time for a table outside....clearly it was not occupied for some time... just terrible food choices and service in comparison to what we expected...last time we visited & ate here~everything was STELLAR...So soooo much room for improvement NOW😣😌

The Nelson Cottage by High West was by far the greatest dining experience me and my wife have had probably ever. The staff has such great knowledge and is willing to help in any way possible. The food was exquisite and the family style table really brings you out of your comfort zone and aids you in making new friends if only for the evening. It's comfortable and fun, yet quaint and fancy. If you're going to do one nice thing in Park City this is it.

What a fun experience. The food and whisky pairing idea was very unique and not to be missed if you like top shelf food and top shelf whisky. It's a bit on the pricy side so don't expect a bargain but if your not afraid to pay for what you get, this experience does not disappoint. Service was friendly and efficient, the family style service was delightful since the couple we sat with were very enjoyable foodies like me.

We had a company park here and the food was AMAZING! Great staff and wonderful time together.
