Pretty far from Ottawa but a nice mussic venue with tasty food.

A recommendation from a friend in Kanata brought us to Neat, and are we glad that we followed their recommendation. The interior is a wonderland of mixes, from the chalkboard menus (the artist who does this has better printing than many teachers I've seen) to the melange of tables and chairs. The pizza menu boasts outstanding flavour combinations, and the chef (for she should be one) never failed to deliver on the flavour and the spice. Our servers were very pleasant and knowledgeable about the food and drink. Printed signs highlight the guest performers that come to play in a separate room off the dining room. The joint obviously rocks solid and hard, as you have a large box of E-A-R plugs on the bar for those that like the ambiance but not the sound. This is one place to keep coming back.

Great gourmet pizzas, excellent wraps, and awesome coffee! Server was friendly and helpful, and setting is cozy and comfortable. All in all, it is a great choice for either a meal or just meeting a friend for coffee and a snack!

This is a wonderfully charming place with both indoor and outdoor seating. I stopped for a “Canadiano” coffee (just think Americano with a substantial splash of maple syrup—mmmm!) and an absolutely HUGE piece of pecan pie. Their menu offerings (pizza, breakfast sandwiches, etc.) looked appetizing and the atmosphere was casual and welcoming. I wish we had been here when they were offering live music, but my husband and I just happened to have the wrong timing. I did get a little bit of the background history about the building (it used to be a school house way back when) and the fellow who books the bands told me a little about the musical acts he is able to get and when they are the busiest. If we are ever here again (we live in Florida) I will back and I will bring my husband.

Our family travels to cottage country for 2-4 weeks annually and being gone from work and home (Saskatchewan) for such long periods, I use Neat Coffee Shop as my travelling work station. I drop-in for 2-7 hours daily while travelling and the staff are absolutely top notch. The staff always has a smile on their face, are helpful, and very friendly, which I appreciate. The staff and ownership make the stay in Burnstown pleasurable and something I talk about back home as the "place to be" if ever in the area. Food - greatBeverages - greatCoffee - great Staff and hospitality - excellent!I highly recommend to any one int he are to make a stop in. Even though I have been visiting the area for years, I have yet to take in a show (music), but maybe soon :)Stay cool team - thank-you for everything. See you next year.

Nicest coffee house for hours around. Going to drive back to calabogie (76 minutes) just for breakfast at Neat one of these days!
