I have to be honest here, this is my kind of place: funky Japanese music playing, local craft beer, a simple dinner menu of sashimi or roast fish sets and one very hip owner. Let’s start with the miso soup, it’s probably not for everyone (it involves barnacles - just try it!) then there is the fish, roasted whole and served with rice and pickled vegetables. Great for a cold winter’s night, Nao PAM is welcoming in every way, the staff are friendly and accommodating. A Naoshima institution that warrants a visit. Be warned, dinner service finishes early (around 7pm), the master needs to get up early to catch the fish.
