Mystic Ginger

Atmosphere: I remember smelling soap when I first walked in, instead of spices. I may have arrived after they finished renovating because the place looked very bare and lacked... culture.Food: I'll come back just for the vegetable samosas!! These were great and a decent size. I was disappointed in the dal because the dal I've had before was usually of a smoother consistency. This time, the lentils held their form - perhaps they could have cooked longer. My samosas were hot but the dal was warm, so I had it for lunch the next day. I had vegetable fritters and a small dessert which came with the lunch special - that was a great deal! There was a server who may have been a dishwasher. This guy was very attentive and quick. He may have been wearing pajamas - that's the only thing that stood out but other than that he was absolutely great!

Service was very friendly, always keeping tabs to see if everyone was good and when taking our order, he repeated all the orders to make sure everything was correct. The wait time was a little long, about 30 minutes but our group was 7 people. I ordered the butter chicken which was okay, it didn't have any amazing taste but it wasnt terrible. The garlic naan bread was delicious. Overall the atmosphere for the restaurant is open and modern which I really liked.

My wife and I got lamb curry and chicken tika masala on two different occasions. When we sat down in the restaurant both were great. We ordered take out the second time. They gave us significantly less curry then before, otherwise it was delicious. The Tika Masala was so oily it was inedible. We threw it out.
