Amazing food experience from Tom Aikens in a town house with just 25 covers. We started with cocktails on the ground floor with snacks and went upstairs to the first floor where we sat at the chef's counter where we watched the beautiful food being prepared before us.Each course comes with a story inspired by moments and people in Tom's life.Just down the road, Sea Lavender, The essence, Conquering the “Beech Tree”, Playing with fire, Wait & see are the titles to dishes and it was a nice touch to read the story as each dish came to the table.Dishes included fresh ricotta cheese with black truffle, mackerel with daikon, a wonderful beetroot dish, my favourite a fresh grilled langoustine speared on a beech twig wrapped in lardo, a delicious dairy beef steak with a fried chip. Every dish was a winner and we loved the friendly service and the care and detail in all the dishes. Finish with the wonderful petit fours with coffee. This is fine dining Michelin star cooking and ambience.

Wonderful experience with a thoughtful menu that complemented the setting beautifully. The chefs worked great together and you get plenty of interaction with Tom and the other chefs. It was good to see Tom working alongside the other chefs and serving, rather than just observing. An evening to remember, would highly recommend.

Incredible. An unexpectedly fabulous experience. The whole lunch was everything you would wish for at a restaurant. We went for the 6 course tasting menu - delicate, exciting, thought provoking, overtones, undertones, with subtleties you cannot imagine - tasting them was sublime. Guessing the ingredients with the sous chefs Jo and Seamus made it fun and intimate. We will be back. If we can get in.

Great meal and service at Tom Aikens new restaurant

The food was fantastic. Presentation, texture and taste were exceptional and consistent, the service routine. The great evening ended abruptly with the start of cleaning up after our 10-course menu. Any time !
