Very good food cooked to perfection and price not too bad either. I ordered 1 pound deheaded royal reds with 1 corn on cob, 2 potatoes and onions extra spicy. $2 extra for them to cook it for you. Menu has plates that lists everything it consists of or you can order exactly what you want and pick from the list of sides. Parking lot always full. Will return.

Southern style seafood at it's best, including crawfish. Cooked fresh while you wait or take it home and cook ot yourself. Their steamed royal red shrimp are absolutely fine!

Cross country driving! Left Port Charlotte Florida and set off to the white sands national monument in New Mexico.. had to stop for a snack, and duh GUMBO! Holy cow.. I wish we had these up in CT where I'm from. The gumbo is absolutely awesome... Even reheated over a fire a couple nights later ;) ... The lunch box shrimp and fries were amazing as well! The shrimp were plump and juicy and spot on!!!! I love that they weren't those tiny stupid shrimp that often appear on fried shrimp dishes! Great portion sizes for the $. Customer service was quick and friendly! Ambiance is fun and laid back. I hope we cross paths again!!!

Decided to check out this restaurant after our hotel clerk recommended claiming they had best seafood in town. Food was delicious and seasoning was definitely on point. Service was ok. Probably would’ve given 5 stars if we didn’t have to fight with flies while dining in.

I was really impressed with this place. We like to go around and visit new places to eat, and I have been in different seafood restaurants but this one is great. Beautiful decorated, nice music and food t sets delicious. Price is right for the amount and quality of the food. The only think we didn’t like was the parking. I would come back.

The atmosphere here is fun and festive a very Cajun New Orleans feel. Fun Cajun music and decor everywhere. My husband and I came in and split the fried shrimp / catfish lunch plate. We both ate till we were full and had fries leftover. The portions are huge! I really want to come back and try some of the steamed baskets because it smelled so good.If you're getting a Something that needs cocktail, tartar or melted butter make sure you order this with your meal as they are $.25 each and do not come with the plates. I had to go dig $.28 out of the car for my cocktail sauce. They do not have fountain drinks just bottled drinks and some yummy looking icy options. There is also a large selection of fresh fish to choose from to take home and cook yourself.I liked this place! Me and my husband just pretended we are on vacation for the hour we got to have four hour lunch break. I was sad to leave.

They serve great, freash seafood. We purchased the steamed shrimp meal to go. You can tell its a good place because the line waiting never seemed to diminish, and it was worth the wait. A Must Try!

Hubs loved the crawfish plate! Okra & hush puppies were delicious as well; however, as a non-seafood eater, the chicken tenders (only non-water-based entree) were pretty over-fried. Everything else was delicious though!

If you love crawfish then you most definitely will want to be here! We moved from Michigan 4 years ago not knowing these things can be eaten. When they are in season, my husband and I buy them already cooked from one one of the local supermarkets and thought they were good. Then, my hair stylist on this side of the bay recommended Mudbugs by the Loop. Ohhh Wow...we have been missing out by not coming here instead!!! The prices are much cheaper. Everything is cooked fresh while you wait. They are HUGE...almost the size of small lobsters! The tails come right out of the shell nice and easy. They are nice and moist and the flavor is OUTSTANDING! The Cajun spice has a much better kick, we found our new favorite place!!! Service was very polite and friendly. They have a dining area with fun things to look at on their walls. Order up 10lbs for two of you...dine in or carry-out and enjoy this nice tradition of the deep South!

We order for a celebration lunch for my team. We ordered boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, fried flounder, corn, sausage, potatoes and fried chicken wings. Everything was great! Plenty of food for 60 people to eat twice and then some. I’m sure we will order from Mudbugs again. I absolutely love mud bugs. I go once a week. Highly recommended!! My go to seafood spot.
