Overall food is good. I’m from TX and it’s one of the better southern food joints around Chicago but every time I’ve ordered from here food is always late. How long does it take to fry some chicken and okra?! Placed order around 6:30, called restaurant at 7:04 and was told pick up time was for 7:25. It’s now 7:48 and driver said food still wasn’t ready...maybe 15 more minutes. I rarely order from here...maybe 1-2x a year and now I remember why.

We were looking for a light dinner and stumbled across this place. Liked the menu and it smelled delicious so we tried it. OUTSTANDING!!!We split a two breast meal and added biscuits (regular bread is included) and Mac and cheese bites. Expect a wait as it’s made to order but so worth it! We asked for butter with the biscuits and she said “honey, they’re infused with butter!” The chicken was amazing, great flavor, tender and juicy. Loved the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce! Generous portions of delicious food.And the entire staff could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. Definitely going back! Note: it’s a very small place with seating for six people so take out is a great option.
