Really delicious find for brunch in the middle of the University Village shopping center. Date recommended it. Walk in and go to the counter to order. You can study the cooler full of chilled wine and bubbles ready for you to take home, while you wait for your turn in line. The atmosphere is lovely. There are plants in a very bright, airy feeling space. The seating is a mix of café and diner style cushioned booths. Food is really good. Ordered the house-cured king salmon toast — lovely with the pickled onion slices, and capers. Date ordered the classic breakfast, which came with perfectly poached, eggs, bacon, and a great serving of fresh avocado. And the jam that was for the sourdough toast was really delicious not too sweet. I think one of my favorite things was the grapefruit hops-based kombucha. Not too vinegary, not too sweet — just really balanced and refreshing for a breakfast beverage.

Nice place! I tried tomato soup with a grilled cheese and it was good.

Prepare to wait! Love the sun room and outdoor area. There are a ton of trees out front, its a great hide away. Food is always good with rotating seasonals, I particularly like the ever changing burrata. They make their coffee syrups in house and they're with the wait. They have great cocktails AND mocktails which I appreciate. I have to mention the curried ketchup that comes with the fries is amazing. Staff is always really nice. This is my favorite spot in UVill (and downtown), there's almost always a line and for a reason.

I go here a couple times a week for a cold brew and a grilled cheese with tomato bisque soup, or the apple and oats yogurt. I've also tried the smoked salmon toast and it's really good! The bread they use is super fluffy, its so good. I love going here for the ambiance too, its so happy and calming. Big plus is that it's the only cafe besides starbucks in the village! Highly recommend overall!

There was a strain of hair from the big guy with a beard who made my coffee today so i had to throw it away. As for the cashier, she was really nice though.

Beautiful cafe in UV! I really love the vibe of this place. The drinks are pretty amazing. One should definitely try out the negroni and Mr pink.

Very cute cafe/bar with great food and cocktails. The only downside is their espresso is surprisingly bad. Not sure if it’s their beans or the baristas trying to make it but would not suggest their coffee.

Pre-pandemic review: It's a beautiful, large space filled with plants and glass. Perhaps because of that (and of course because of their quality food and beverage options) it can be hard to find seating, however, the grilled cheese and tomato soup alone makes it worth a visit. There's free WiFi and it's definitely a good place to work or bring a friend to chat. Note that outlets are available along the walls under the booth seating.

Servers eating at bar in front of guests. Chips and dip and touching their mouth’s and immediately touching clean glassware and running food from the kitchen to tables without washing hands, and speaking to guest with a mouthful of food. Never have I ever seen such a thing in a restaurant. NOT OK! Gross. Broccoli and cheese soup is like a couple pieces of boiled broccoli In very thin water like soup with random spinach (don’t think was supposed to be in it), no flavor. 2 stars, not 1, for a good espresso martini.

Went around 6:30pm, not crowded, super cute interior and the staff was friendly! The chia pudding was delicious and had a big portion! Great study spot or coffee date.

I think this is a great cafe! It's locally owned, the food is great quality, and the prices are reasonable; especially considering that they have gourmet-style dishes and coffee. The ambiance is also good, it's comfortable with several seating options: patio, bar, low tables, high tables, and some additional cozy spaces. It's also not super loud, so you can have a conversation. The staff is always nice and although the line to order can be long at times (especially for weekend brunches) they do their best to be quick. I recently had the Brussels sprouts, roasted mushroom toast (which I got on a sliced sweet potato instead of on bread), and the muhammara dip, all of which were great. The Brussels sprouts were well done but flavorful and not dry. The sweet potato "toast" had well-balanced flavors and some greens as well, which I appreciated. The muhammara dip was bright and tangy, with a lively flavor that kind of smacked me in the mouth lol. After the crudite ran out and there was extra dip, I ended up putting some on the toast. The sweet potato really grounded the flavor and I will definitely do that again the next time I have those dishes. But those are just a few of their dishes, they have several great gluten-free and vegetarian options as well as some meat options. The only downside besides the occasional long line to order is that the door to the patio sometimes stays open and it can let some cold air in. But it's only an issue if you're sitting close to the door and most tables are not situated that way. So still worthy of five stars in my opinion.

Love Mr West. The aesthetic, the wine shop, the food/drinks- it’s a go-to for me for brunch and small gifts. Workers are always friendly, although they definitely staff lean so don’t expect a full service experience.

My almond croissant was so dry that it basically exploded all over our table when cut. My drip coffee was rather sour, especially towards the bottom of the cup. Crossing this place off my list.

Standard hipster, Seattle coffee shop. Cool ambience and staff are nice. My friend got a iced caramel macchiato which I snagged a sip of and it was awesome. I got the cold brew which was pretty solid. My old issues is that they don't carry heavy cream which I prefer in my coffee.
