Mr. K's

A cool little ice cream spot for all ages in the NC area. I had a great time talking with the staff. The inside of the ice cream shop also offers regular diner food, almost an 80s theme. If you are looking for a combination of flavors and sweets, give this shop a try! It's decently big inside with plenty of seating as well.

Mr K's is awesome! This place is my go-to on the south end to get a great burger and ice cream. Their burger toppings are amazing and their burgers are tough to beat. I like their onion rings, I always order them. this can be a very very popular place for people to stop in so make sure you get there early or plan to wait in line, it's worth it. Seatting here is limited, so take that into account as well. The staff here is always very friendly and the food is always wonderful. I love this place!

Good food, nice staff, but they kept me waiting over 30 minutes because they lost my order. Stuff happens, but that was frustrating.

First time trying this little quaint place and I enjoyed it! My burger was flavorful and filling. Will definitely go back for the ice cream when I’m in the area.

One of the best places in Charlotte to grab a burger! Mr. K's is a staple of Charlotte and the friendly service and great, made to order food is a throw back style that always brings a smile. Enjoy, awesome shakes, hot fries, hot dogs, or a Mr. K's cheese burger. It's a great place to sit outside and enjoy your lunch while sipping on a Cheerwine. I always go with a classic cheeseburger, onion rings, and a coke. Fast, friendly service with classic diner options.

The staff was nice & the food was good, but it was fairly busy, so there was nowhere to sit. It's a small place, so the seating is very limited. We had to either take it to go or eat in our car. My kids really liked the burgers & the shakes.

Love the old fashioned grilled burger they serve. This place has been here forever and it's always been delicious. My favorite is the single burger all the way. Make sure you save room for ice cream. Soft serve cones and banana splits are the bomb. Stop in and see why Mr. K's is still a Charlotte original.

Love Mr. Ks, especially with my grands! Been going there all my life and love it now as much as when I was my grand's age!!

First time coming here and it definitely won’t be my last! This is a quaint little hole in the wall joint with amazing food and awesome staff!!! I opted to have their Garden Burger(MorningStar brand) on a wheat bun with everything on it and it was absolutely amazing! I tried their onion rings and they weren’t the best but I’m willing to give them another try 😋! The soft serve is out of this world and truly the best in Charlotte, with so many flavors and toppings to choose from you will go wild. Great quality 🍦!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone local or travelers looking for a “local” spot!! 🍔 Current Sanitation Score 95.5

Old fashioned burger joint run by a local family. The food is prepared right behind the counter where you can watch if that's your sort of thing. The ladies were friendly, the service was good and the food even better. Sometimes a traditional burger is the best burger.

Quintessential ice cream and burger joint but with lots more choices than just simple ice cream and hamburgers. Their handmade onion rings are awesome. The ribeye steak sandwich is great. Grilled chicken is grilled from scratch - not sitting around in a box already cooked. They do soft serve and hand dipped ice cream, plus every variation of dipped, mixed, or topped you can imagine. Milkshakes, yes. Banana splits, yes. They've been in Charlotte for 50 years. Go visit and make sure they're here 50 more!

This is a great place with such catchy use of the color blue in their branding and material. When you go inside it is a comfy environment with an open kitchen and diner feel. It has the stereotypical diner style menu. No complains on the service here. This place also seems like it has been an area landmark for quite some time.

As a loyal customer, I was invited to the 50 year anniversary party. A free hotdog, chips, drink and an ice cream cone in honor of the original menu. Even saw Charlotte mayor there.
