It is a tavern located just outside Asakusa. The price is higher compared to Ameyoko, but the menu is so delicious.It is recommended to drink lightly in the middle of Asakusa sightseeing.

It was around 2 pm, but the store on Hoppy Street is quite crowded. I entered because I was free. The inside of the shop is always nearly full and dense. I got stewing and hoppies. It was delicious. It is a fun place to drink from daytime.

My friend and I chose this place because it was crowded on a Sunday night. The sashimi and beef stew (牛すじ煮込み) was amazing! Also try the yakitori.We got seated at one of the communal tables. There are baskets under table to place your bags and jackets. It was winter and so the plastic sheets were up to keep the place nice and warm.The service was casual but fast. Anything goes in terms of crowd. The table next to us were college kids who were quite drunk.Must try experience if you’re visiting Asakusa.

It is an Izakaya with a feeling of Showa. I thought it would be better to drink a bit with ladder liquor than to taste thoroughly and drink. I do not recommend those who are not good at smoking as they are not smokers.

The motsu was delicious but a little expensive.
