We went to the State St Diner and the bakery was across the street A hole in the wall, but amazing apple cider donuts and other pastries.

The donuts are decent for the price, but the woman that works at the register seems to struggle with simple math. I got frustrated when she had to give me back my change because she was so slow and wasn't sure exactly how much to give back. I was also upset when I told her I didn't want a sprinkle doughnut with brown sprinkles because I was giving them to small children (that wouldn't want brown). Of course, when I got home, there were 5 sprinkle and 1 brown. That caused a fight and I specifically asked her not to do that.
