Great ambience with live entertainment. Service was high quality and the food was good. Portions were a bit small and the price was quite high, but I suppose you're paying for the ambience and experience rather than the portions/food itself.

I attended a large dinner gathering at Moody's this past Saturday and the place was hopping. An eclectic decor with the tables closely packed, but easy enough to navigate. The wait staff were engaging, informative and easy to talk to.A decent choice of appetizers, salads, pizzas and entrees. For appetizers, I got to sample the Ahi Poke, whose marinade was nicely spiced but the Ahi flesh was a bit too mushy for my liking. Both the Crispy Calamari and Hummus & Olives were delicious.I tried the Pan seared Scallops entree which were fresh, tender and served with a savory sweet glaze on a bed of fresh peas and micro greens, all which I enjoyed.

Our organization had a private function at Moody's again this year. There's a lovely private dining room- it's quite nice to come in off the busy street on a winter evening and have a drink in the small bar before retreating to the dining room for more elbow room. Food is always good, high-end and crowd-pleasing. Vegetarian and vegan options are nice. Service can be a bit slow on a busy night, so relax and enjoy the ambiance of downtown Truckee!

The Fondu was FANTASTIC, but beware of the EXPENSIVE Drinks!!!The bar menu does not include prices. My wife orders a $50(!!) martini! The server discounted the price thankfully, but $50 for a glass of alcohol better include 18k gold...Update: We visited this place again, because the fondue was so good! I am pleased to report the drink menu now has prices, and reasonable ones at that. The fondue was just as good the second time. Definitely 5 stars now!!

A drink list for any and all. Each bartender is a true master of their craft. Hamburgers worthy of a social media share, gotta share the love. Truckee is truly a diamond in some beautiful rough.
