Montrio Bistro

This is a must try if you are in Monterey. I have visited many of the great restaurants in Monterey, Sardine Factory Whaling Station, Cafe Fina, Charthouse, etc. Montrio Bistro is one of the best meals I have ever had. The Duck Breast was soooooo delicious! I shared with my friends and they both said " that's a bird?" It tasted better than the best filet mignon. So friggin yummy!

Great menu....the Chef does his own bacon....ridiculous. Solid wine list. Very nice service. You better go or someone else is eating your "bacon on bacon".You've been warned😀

Great meal and half priced wines on Sunday is hard to beat. A nice mix of locals and tourists. Muscles were excellent although the red curry broth could have had more punch. Blackened Cod was delicious and generous portion. Saved room for meringue dessert which was a perfect finish. Staff was friendly and efficient, particularly liked Thomas for his effortless banter and recommendations. We will be back.

Honestly this was the best food I have ever tasted. We had a reservation and we immediately seated. The atmosphere is romantic and personal. I got one of their signature cocktail and it was phenomenal. I was a little worried that I would have a pretty limited food selection as I am a vegetarian. However the staff was kind enough to modify a dish for me that blew me away. For dessert we had their housemade ice cream and bread pudding. Everything was delicious and if I am ever back in Monterey I will definitely be returning.

Great food and some of the best wait staff in Monterey. They have a really good selection for kids and adults and some local beers on tap from Alvarado street and Peter B's.

Went here for an anniversary. Mostly ordered appetizers and medium plates because the mains looked pretty heavy and we wanted a good selection of food. Everything was well prepared, service superb, good wine list, nice ambiance. Will return.

Food is amazing. Small menu but it helped narrow it down to what I wanted. Rachel was our waitress. She was on top of it!!

My wife and I would call this our favorite restaurant on the Monterey Peninsula. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere/service is top-notch, and the cocktail menu/wine selection is superb. If you haven't been here you are missing out.

Food was good. Drink was good. Waitress seemed angry. Can’t blame her with the people at the table next to us. I think they got lost going McDonalds and stumbled into Montrio.

This restaurant is #1 in our region for a reason. My wife and I were treated like royalty from the start. Our waiter, Haven, and the manager, Chris, took is on a culinary journey. We have never had a date night quite like this. A romantic atmosphere, an educational food & wine experience, and delectable sensations at every course, we created memories tonight that will last forever. Thank you #montriobistro !!!

Really good food and great, attentive service. Try the Chappellet Cabernet Sauvignon.
