Don't ever order a burger there! And the chef is a creepy looking pervert. Just hangs out the by the kitchen window or by the door and just stares at you. It's happened to me every time I've gone there. Very uncomfortable! The 2 stars is because the young girl is very nice

We eat at Monteiro's every time we go back to Waterbury. It is a mom and pop restaurant and very good. We eat breakfast and lunch there. The food is very good and the wait staff is nice. The prices are reasonable. I love supporting local restaurants. I strongly recommend that people must visit, it will surely be a repeat place where you bring your friends and family.

Food is delicious and very filling nice little hidden gem.

Place was empty but it took an hour to get our food

Just had a western omelette Veggies cut perfectly Whole slices of ham made a mess of what could have been a great omelette SMH

First impressions is everything. Sadly ours wasn't a good one. They ended up giving our breakfast for free but it didn't help the awkward feeling of being there. Honestly we lost our appetite waiting an hour...But everyone has their days, so make sure you go see for yourself. I’ll def stop by if it’s the last option.

Nice family diner

I really was in the mood for a nice low key place where I could sit and chat over a coffee and maybe grab a bite. I was glad my friend, a former employee, suggested monteiros! I ended up grabbing a bit of food. it was nice and quiet in there cuz it was just after lunch. I was able to relax and enjoy myself with my girl, and the owner and the waitress on staff both talked to us, and I still got my order very quick. It seems like a great place! Every person that came in was known, and greeted sweetly. What a nice atmosphere, id love to work here!! Seems to be a decent group of people, and the clientele seem like they are all good hard working folks. Reminds me of cheers, where everybody knows your name 😊 Food was great, not as greasy as you would expect from a diner. A great little neighborhood place in town plot. Can't get any better than this.I hope to be back 😎
