Great place. Shrimp, mussels, oysters amazing. Come here every year and one of our favorite places.

We never miss a chance to go to Monk's when we are in town. Service is the best! More restaurants and bars could learn what good service is by going there. Oysters, cold, fresh and delicious. We always feel welcome, and we bring our kids!

One of my top seafood spots in Sarasota. Great guys working the bar and serving. Food is always fresh and fast. Beer is ice cold. It's not fancy wear shorts and at t shirt .

Best bartenders in Sarasota! Always looking for empty drinks and something to provide. Obviously the food is the best but if it wasn't for the boy's looking out... this place would go under! Good oysters and friendly staffs.

Great place for delicious mussels at a great price, oysters and more, with a full bar, and open late! Inside or outside seating. Inside you can watch your favorite game on any number of TVs while enjoying a nice whiskey and/or 2lbs of mussels steamed with garlic, or shoot a game of pool with friends. Great little late night food niche. Check it out! And grab a half (or whole) order of oysters monkafeller!

Monk's is the kind of place you hear about from locals and after you try it your hooked. It's the Monkafellas that everyone raves about. Starting with fresh oysters is a must, simply add garlic butter and parmesan cheese and watch them steamed right at the bar. Definitely worth a try if you enjoy Oysters. Drinks were reasonable and service was fast. Small menu at Monks so in my opinion more of a drinking spot with a bite before going out for a meal.

I would like to start out by saying this oysterbar is an all male employee establishment and they are all about getting down to business , as opposed to Hooters which is all female employees were you can see them standing in the corner texting or flirting with the customers rather than taking your order or taking care of your table , we ordered a couple of drinks and a couple of shots and then we ordered some Oyster Monkefellers which are steamed oysters with garlic butter and melted parmesan cheese , totally awesome , I can't say enough about the service , it was as if we had three people taking care of our table at once as a team , you told one staff member you would like another drink and 30 seconds later another staff member dropped it off , I heard this was a hockey bar I'm here to watch the Tampa Bay playoff game with the Bruins
