Moe's Southwest Grill

Food is Hot & Tasty, Wide Beverage Selection, Atmosphere is Bright, Fun & Inviting, Music is Upbeat, TVs are easy to see anywhere in the restaurant. The only 2 problems were, it was short staffed with only 2 people, one counter, one grill. So the wait is a little longer. And the tables were dirty and sticky. Probably because the staff didn't have time to take care of customers and clean the dining room. Get an energetic 3rd staff member per shift, and this place would be just about perfect.

Did I come at a bad time?The food was good, but at 6:30 PM on a Friday the place was pretty much empty. At least I didn’t have to wait. The serving line was not really dirty, but messy. Messy like they’d been ladling toppings all day and didn’t have time to wipe it down, but it wasn’t busy. I saw 3 employees busily tapping away on their phones. Toward the end of the meal, one of them vacuumed the 5x7 rug in front of the drink/salsa counter, then pulled out a container of water and wiped it off. They then rinsed the rag and methodically cleaned off half the tables in the restaurant. Maybe it’s nothing but I’ve been to a steakhouse in Kabul that gave me less pause. The food was good though, just sayin’.

In general, I like Moe's. This location is, however, hit or miss. On my most recent visit, we had fast service and our food was good. But on the flip side, the server admitted he wasn't familiar with the menu and I had to guide him through a standard menu item. And after my family and I were seated, most of the staff stepped outside for a break, leaving 1 person behind the counter with a significant line to serve on his own.
