Moe's Original BBQ- Mobile Al

We are in Alabama for 2 weeks and had to try some local BBQ. We chose Moe's because of the reviews and the back story not to mention the smell of smoked meat emanating from the establishment! We went for a late lunch and there were a steady stream of customers coming in although it was not crowded and service was prompt. We ordered a Blue Moon draft and a Cosmo. The Cosmo was perfect! We decided on the Sample platter which is enough for 2-3 people. It also came with a choice of 3 sides, buttered toasted buns and cornbread. We enjoyed everything. My companion liked the ribs best and I liked the smoked Turkey slices with the sausage coming in a close 2nd. We would come back again and again if we lived here! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We had several come by and ask if we needed anything and ask how the food was. A+

I will definitely come back again when passing thru. The wings are plenty and just right. The hush puppies are to die for 🤤. My buddy and I each had a sampler, he had sausage and ribs. While I had ribs and catfish. 🤤🤤 My mouth is watering just remembering it. Oh and the side salad I had was incredible, never had a better tasting salad than theirs. So good.

Had the chicken strips. They were good. I wish I would have gotten the buffalo chicken sandwich. That's next!!

Great place to host a small or large event!

Was recommend to visit Moe's Original BBQ. Recommend arriving early for lunch as the place fills up quickly. Staff was friendly and there is a large selection of smoked (as opposed to BBQ) pork, chicken, turkey and sausage dishes with sides to choose from. I chose the pulled pork sandwich meal with baked beans and broccoli salad. The order came out and the sandwich was wrapped in paper that I noticed was already grease soaked. There was plenty of smoked pork but the bun was soft to soggy. The pork had a good flavor and was very tender. The baked beans were very good. The broccoli salad was swimming in salad dressing, way too much. An overall good lunch but seeing that this is a chain restaurant, not spectacular. I would return to try one of their other smoked entrees.

Really good barbecue! The smoked turkey sandwich is awesome, and if you love a pulled pork-stuffed baked potato, get yourself down to Tater Tuesday! The beer is cold and the gumbo's spicy.

Great service and awesome food for my friends retirement party. Very tasty!

Wonderful variety is southern bbq

One word, Barkley. Who is one of the bartenders, find him ask him to make you a drink he's going to ask you a question about what kind of drink you like and then just drink it and enjoy it. Hes Customer service for phenomenal, even though the people around him would constantly try to talk to him, while he was making our drinks. he seemed to give us and Them attention which kind of sucked because you would think that people wouldn't talk to him while he was with customers but they did. Also get some ribs and barbecue sauce and then enjoy it.

The downfall here is the volume level. Even when not very busy we had to speak way up to enjoy our company. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Good food! Try the Pork Rinds! The smoked burger special on Saturdays is a great deal. $6 and the burger is knife and fork kind of large.

Delicious bbq! Several original touches to this food. The griddled cornbread was great. The onion rings were thin and delicious. The sauce was vinegar based with just a slight hint of dill. So good!

We were on a food tour so maybe did not get to appreciate the full menu experience but the atmosphere was genuine southern BBQ. This is a large establishment with full bar and yummy food. I'd never tasted a white BBQ sauce and it was delish.

We loved the food ...loved the laid back atmosphere... family friendly..and the waitress Jamie Ellis was very helpful with my food allergy to mustard and made sure that everything was safe for me to eat...She also sat down and was able to talk to us about things of interest in Mobile as we are from Illinois...Thank you Thank you..
