This is an AWESOME place to eat. Everywhere we travel I always order a veggie meal and my companion is always looking for a Cuban sandwich (he's from FL). I ordered the Veggie Panini with the perfect combination of grilled eggplant, zucchini, and red peppers. The cheese and pesto was the perfect amount to not overtake the other flavors. This is a big sandwich and we'll worth the price. The Cuban sandwich was said to taste like the FL sandwiches and no Cuban sandwich in CA has match this one. So many of my friends travel to that area. I will give them your address.

This place has an unassuming storefront with top notch sandwiches (panini) and shakes. A must try! It's delicious!

My wife and I dropped in on a rainy afternoon and were truly surprised and delighted. We had a meatball and a sausage sandwich. I am considered a very good cook by many, and I must say, I could hardly do a better job then they do. Excellent! The house made sausage, pickled onions and peppers, and tomato sauce were all perfect. A small menu yields better quality and taste. I highly recommend it if you are nearby. I must confess, though, that next time I will order mine to go so that I can sit in my bathtub naked to eat. My wife can then hose me off when I'm done!

This place is actually a 4.5 star rating just so we're clear, but I'm happy to round up to a 5 because of the wonderful service. Inside is simple, with the menu right up front, super easy to read. The guys working there were very nice, and even threw in a free bag of chips when I told them it was my first time visiting.I was feeling experimental, and ordered the Cuban, but opted for housemade pickled peppers instead of pickles, horseradish sauce instead of mustard, and mozzarella instead of swiss. The gentlemen were kind enough to acquiesce on all counts, and were genuinely curious as to how this concoction would turn out.The FOOD. SO MUCH. SO DELICIOUS. I may very well come back next week and order the same exact sandwich... until my sense of adventure forces my hand to try yet another wonky imaginative sandwich!Amazing job guys. Cash only so keep that in mind next time you want a sandwich large enough to fill 2 people or 150% of you.

Amazing in house made meats. Everything I got to sample before I even got my sandwich was tasty and fresh.

This place is amazing. Have not had a meal that I didn't absolutely love. The pulled pork is a winner, as well the cucumber salad is awesome.

I came this place all the time. Whenecer there friends visit Oakland I always take them here for a quick lunch when we walk by the lake. This is the one of best top 3 sandwich place in Oakland. Cash only. Pulled prok and Cuban are to die for!

I had been having the WORST day, and I was hangry to the max. So, my fiancé googled “sandwiches” & headed straight to Modigliani. He came home with the BEST tuna sandwich I’ve ever had & I am so dang thankfulFor him & you’re wonderful sandwich maker ❤️

Super friendly and personable owner! A really great experience eating lunch here. Everything is made in house (including the hot sauce!) and super delicious. Portions are large and prices are very reasonable.

Phenomenal food -- really most excellent. i have been coming here for a couple of years the food is incredibly fresh and prepared with care. What sets this place apart is that everything is made with love and it really shows.
