My matsah ball soup and half sandwich for $10.50 was a great value. I agree with others that $16.50 for a full Reuben sandwich is quite pricey. That being said, the quality of the food was great!

Interesting menu. Way overpriced.

Opening day! The first Jewish deli in downtown Charlottesville. Order at the front counter, then sit down wherever you want. Seats around 50 people if every seat is taken.Sandwiches are very big. I tried the Rachel (turkey on marble rye, Russian dressing, and Swiss cheese). Tasty! Would like just a bit more dressing on it (sure I could have asked). Served with chips and a few cucumber slices. The menu is extensive, and I'm sure I'll be back to try more. They nearly sold out of Matzo Ball Soup in the first hour they were open. I can't wait to try that. Prices are a little high, but the owner (very friendly) donates the profits to local charities. More info on their website. Also, if you aren't a big eater you could easily split a sandwich between two. They also sell a variety of things at the deli - including delicious halvah.
