High quality soba noodle lunch in a picturesque location overlooking lake Ashi. Enjoyed the mushroom and daikon cold soba with a local sake - we were glad to have chosen this location for lunch. Could get busy around lunch time as boat loads of tourists hop off but well worth any wait

Peaceful store that seems popular. Got zarusoba + side orders. The freshly made 田楽 (dengaku - konyaku and miso skewers) was super tasty, with salt and sweetness perfectly balanced in the miso paste. 揚げ餅(fried mochi rice) was also nice. For me personally, a big minus was that the soba was white, meaning, almost all wheat and very little buckwheat. Otherwise it would have been four stars! A little more expensive than soba usually is, prolly due to location. Also quite a relaxed tempo in service (but really friendly), good to know if you're in a big hurry for some reason. Nice noodle place with some vegetarian options. Free tea and fantastic view onto the landscape (if you ignore the street and parking in front of the restaurant). Very friendly service.

Delicious and a nice atmosphere at a fair price (Â¥800-Â¥1600) but the soba is of the lighter, high wheat, less healthy kind.

The shop owner can speak good english,and really friendly service.Come here should order つけそば(tsuke soba),noodle to dip the sauce,really really delicious,after that,add the broth into sauce become soup.
