Deliscious and reasonably priced sushi. Good sized fish portions. Friendly chef.

I’ve been in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Matsumoto, Nara, Kawaguchiko... but here in Takayama - in Mikoto Sushi I get the best sushi so far!!! Good rice and fish temperature, fresh ingredients, perfect cuts. And what’s most important - great atmosphere thanks to the chef and his wife.

The atmosphere is good. The sushi is fresh, fish slices are generous. The owners are extremely welcoming. On the downside price ain't the cheapest and placing the sushi on the counter without cleaning beforehand, though placing the menu there just before, was very discouraging

Fresh sushi is served. The owners are friendly and the service is fast. The sushi set comes with the miso soup which is super Delicious! The owner came and take photo with us at the end of service too!

Wow this place is amazing. Authentic sushi from a great sushi chef prepared at the bar. Went along with wife and a toddler, felt very welcome there.Very fresh and good value!

Fresh generous slices of sashimi , unpretentious homely restaurant atmosphere , lovely hospitable owners. Can’t recommend this place enough for an authentic Japanese sushi experience ! Reasonable prices as well! Ps, they had the biggest slices of sashimi I ever saw in my life 🙊

What a place !! A small place with a homely and modest atmosphere ... prepare the sushi in front of you and everything is fresh. The owners are super nice and the sushi is divine! The sushi master definitely knows how to do a job ... plus he's nice and funny! highly recommend!
