Mikes Fish & Chicken

Came here on my way home. What can I say... a BIG mistake. Wanted a fresh portion of fish and crispy chips - got few days old soggy chips and rock hard fish that had a funky taste. After eating only a quarter of a portion had a bad feeling in a stomach which lasted for a few hours. Seriously, please think twice eating there.

Tasty fish with hand made chips, not over fried or dry.

I ordered 1 pie and 2 Saveloys! I get home and the pie is still freezing cold! Couldn't eat it! Disgraceful!

Great fish and chips, really cheap. Especially considering places like Poppie's charge you close to £15. £5 for a small fish and chips at Mike's! Staff always good for a chat when you are waiting for fresh chips, will definitely be going more often.

worst mistake buying from here, i bought a piece of skate and as soon as i cut into the batter the smell was disgusting, i saw him put the batter on so he must of knew it was rotten before he cooked it, absolutly disgusting, i will never buy from there again, they dont deserve the one star i had to give

Used to be a good chip shop but slowly going down hill, went in on the 2nd June 2016 and had the worst piece of fish ever all dried out and the chips were past their best.Been going there for years but not any more.

Used to be a good chip shop, went there 2/12/2016, bad chips, microwaved pie, can't pay by card and looks dirty, I will never ever go there again. Shame, the end of an era. Looks like it's Sutton and sons in future.

Experience

Husband brought 2 pies and chips when he arrived home 5 minutes later they was both stone cold, i phoned to complain and was told to put them in microwave for 1 minute; will never buy anything from this place again, oh by the way how would like to be told to heat your own meals after paying for a meal and the chips aren't that great either
