Middleton Tavern

This building is awesome inside and out. The news that George Washington once visited this place is really cool. The fire place is really neat one of the best I've seen. The food; I had a couple of beers and a crab cake sandwich. The beers were good, the sandwich was dissapointing, though it had real chunks of crab. The fries and the crab meat sandwich were not so good. It lacked flavor and just fell apart when I tried to bite into it. So because of my experience I am giving 3 stars to the food. Everything about this place is five stars all day, but my sandwich was not equal to everything else.

Service was great. Oysters, crab cakes and shrimp were all fantastic. I always make a point to come here when I'm on Annapolis.

Service on the patio was excellent. The oysters were top notch! Try the oyster shooters and crab balls.

Cozy place with good food and great live music. The prices are a little high considering the food quality, but nothing unreasonable. The atmosphere is cozy with an Irish Pub style. Live music on the weekends (check the website).

Went here for Sunday Brunch in Downtown Annapolis. Great service. Not a long wait at all. We were seated immediately.

We love eating here on our annual family Annapolis day. The outdoor seating is a bit crowded, but cool with a view on a hot day. They have a kids menu with the regular stuff, or boys usually get the hot dog or pizza bagel. The steamed mussels are amazing... the old bay sprinkled on makes them heavenly. We've never had a bad meal or experience.

I have to say this is a top notch Tavern! Took my sister here for her birthday and the staff were amazing and made us feel very welcome. The food was, spectacular! My sister and I shared the Chateaubriand platter. Good lord we went to heaven! Tender, juicy and absolutely perfect! (and enough vegetables to feed a village! All 4 of us ended up sharing this scrumptious dish tho our husbands had their own plates! ) Thank you for a great evening!

We love this place. Aaron, Mike, Frank, Fila, Loopy and the short bald guy are awesome!

Excellent food,service and ambience

If you go here and you're having cocktails two drinks I would suggest, the oyster shot, and the green tea shot. Don't frown up at the oyster shot it was good. Both phenomenal! For the food I had the crab cakes which were on top of a fried green tomato; so very Southern. They were awesome. The bartenders were very friendly and the service was excellent.

Very good food and service. My waiter Andrew was very attentive. I had a taste for raw bar and MD soup not pictured. But the steamed clams and choptank oyster where amazing.

Fabulous historical ambiance & originality in Annapolis! Large bar with lots of choices for all. Decent food menu with fresh seafood & typical pub grub! Go for the history!

Very popular brunch place right next to the water. The food is really good. We got the french toast filled with creme cheese and covered in fruits. Coffee is not that good, but it's unlimited refills. Sit down outside for the beat experience. Average brunch price is $35 for two.

Great place. Go for happy hour.
