Great custard. Decent food. Fun atmosphere when it's busy in the summer. Expensive compared to Culvers.

Pricey for what you get. Sometimes the custard is icey and not fresh

The best frozen custard and turkey burgers, ever! LOVE Michael's but am so upset to hear they are closing! The community needs to get behind Michael's and rescue this 30+ year institution!

Excellent, as always! The food (bleu cheese burger) and custard (tiger snacks sundae I think?) were both delicious. You can't go wrong here! And the woman behind the counter was very nice and personable. She said she doesn't get sick of eating there even though she works there, and I wouldn't either!

I guess I was expecting something else, so I was some what disappointed. I thought custard was something different then soft serve ice cream. It was good that's why it still got a four star but nothing I couldn't get anywhere.

My wife and I stopped here for dessert and it was fantastic! Fast friendly service and an enormous selection of unique and delicious treats! I ordered the chocolate silk Frozen Custard twister and she ordered the caramel twister with strawberries. We were both absolutely amazed!!!

Best ice cream in Madison but not the best prices! I recommend trying the butter pecan twister.

Great custard with a ton of options for toppings. A must go to.

Always have loved Michael's. Sad that the main location on Monroe is now closed (and the circumstances that caused it). Hopefully, Michael's (and Michael himself) will be staying in Madison in some capacity.

The custard is fantastic. An out of town guest taken there went back the next day and the next, in spite of the last day of his visit being cold and dreary.

Decent place, nostalgic, little on the pricey side for what it is.

Summer in Wisconsin in custard form at its finest. Nostalgia sets in instantly at the first visit. Many delicious options for food and flavors, quick service and friendly staff! Great location, walking distance from many sites and shops.

Good custard and other sweet offerings. Great for a bit of a treat when walking the dog (they even have no sugar "K9 custard" for your pooch!). You can sit at the tables and enjoy the evening. Off-street parking. Burgers and food are pretty sub-standard. Staff is hit or miss; some okay, some are kids who need a lesson in customer service and general manners.
