Fantastic! Have never had Ethiopian food before. Loved the spices. We got an odd confused look when we asked for a fork. Wish they would have told us that you take the soft bread from separate plater and pinch food with it. Next time we definitely won't be using forks. Great place for vegetarians or vegans too. Wife is vegetarian and I'm not. Good menu for both if us. Suggest having it family style too instead of individual.

First time there and was very pleased with the food, pricing and their staff. I'll be returning the next time I'm in the area.

Super small and quiet, but amazing experience and vegan options. You can get a vegan platter and try 4 different things. Great way to try a little of everything. It was so good !

I forgot to take pics! My apologies!.... The vegan food options here are great! I've always loved Ethiopian Cuisine, and this place definitely doesn't disappointment. Great food, great service, what more can you ask for? It's a very small and intimate restaurant which I enjoy. I promise you won't be disappointed going here!

Yes, yes, and yes! There's your answer to all of the usual questions regarding dining and cuisine. Was the atmosphere serene and beautiful? Was the parking easy and the inside clean? Was the food delicious, timely, and filling? Was it just as good or better as you expected? Was it a traditional Ethiopian experience complete with decor, self filtering clay coffeepot, and music? The answer remains yes to all of these questions plus a few others that would make this review a little too long. The real question is whether the food is spicy or Ethiopean spicy. Our lamb dish was mildly spicy because there were jalapenos cooked into the dish but there was not an intense heat. Ethiopian spicy was not the level of heat so we really enjoyed the flavors of the food.Overall the service was great and we will return soon. The clay coffeepots can be purchased and they give you simple instructions on how to use it at home.

My first experience here was very good. I ordered the shiro wot ! For starters I tried the salad first ..... AMAZING, I knew that if the salad was good then the food had to be as well ! & if was, I had Ethiopian cuisine in Arlington/DC area years ago and remembered how tasty it was but SPICY . So yes the food is spicy so if you can’t handle that but still want to try, let them know ahead of time. This food is very healthy I’m sure your body would love it. Give them a try :)

ONLYplace to get great Ethiopian food in 757, injera is my favorite so they definitely get 5 stars! They're Tibs are on point especially if they make them with chicken!

Three of us shared a plate and it was exceptionally good. Really good service and a fair price. I would definitely go back again and recommend this to anyone that is willing to try something a little different. We didn't use forks, but used the Ethiopian bread to eat our food which also made it fun.

An Ethiopian restaurant in Virginia Beach? Who would have thought. The food is wonderful! If you like spicy this is a place to go, but they do do mild. The lamb stew is great as is the the shrimp dish. Lots of vegetarian options in this restaurant. Social service is just wonderful they treat you like you're eating at their home and in their dining room. Very friendly staff and they are very attentive. And, you have to try the Ethiopian coffee the way it served is just special. Love this place will go again and again!

Delicious local restaurant. Would highly recommend. Prices are reasonable, and the food's aroma will have you salivating as soon as you arrive.
