Nice cozy meal in a family atmosphere

The food is expensive and worth the wait. The wait staff is friendly helpful and kind.

I tried Mesler for restaurant week with a few of my girlfriends over the weekend. The restaurant esthetically was quite beautiful and inviting but the service and food fell flat. From start to finish most of the staff seemed confused. When we checked in they could not find the reservation. While ordering our first waitress did not seem educated on the menu. After waiting to place our order we received a new waitress. After placing my order all of the dishes came out except for mine. The waitress forgot to place my order. All of entrees we tried were extremely bland. We had high hopes for this place maybe we will try dinner.

I love the chic and chilled atmosphere. The food and service is great.

Visited Thanksgiving for last brunch of the day. First time and can't say enough good things about the experience. Our wait staff was manager on duty, Sharon who made what turned out to be amazing food & drink suggestions. The Shrimp & Grits are worthy to be authentically compared to NOLA. The 5th Ward Burger was top notch with caramelized onions and fresh cut fries. Sharon was attentive and very informative about the Mesler itinerary. Can't wait to visit again. 👍🏾

Good place to eat and relax

Went to Mesler for Valentine's dinner with my wife. The service was excellent, and the food was great. The dining area is separated from the bar/lounge area, which creates a intimate atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back.

Great food, drinks, ambiance, and service! Mesler is a nice, upscale location to grab drinks and food in Hyde Park. I’ve been here a couple of times for late night drinks and some afternoon refreshments, and had great experiences. The service is warm and attentive, and the food is as good as any restaurant you would find downtown! I’ve tried a variety of dishes, sides, and drinks, and while the portions are on the smaller side, I have been surprised by how good they are.I love the variety of seating options they have, and how many couches and nice seats you can find here. It’s also a comfortable place to pull out a laptop and do some work outside of meal service hours. Mesler seems to be busy at every time of day, but especially at night, which makes it always a fun oasis to hang out in the neighborhood.

Great handmade cocktails with infused spirits. Go for the warm vibe (may be due to the fireplace).

Small portions, pricier, but decent service and ambiance.

5 star for atmosphere and drinks, 2 star for service. The servers are nice but really slow and inattentive. It is clear that they are not well trained. They could also use vegan and vegetarian options on the menu (they have one dish with kale and faro that you can order without egg and french fries). That said, it is very comfy and decor is beautiful.

Pretty brunch selection here! Really need to try the chicken and waffles if you have not yet

Pretty good! Very pretty space, and very well, priced, tasty foods for brunch. Lots of vegetarian options, too!

Spot looks beautiful and services was great. On my own opinion food wasn't tasty.
