I adopted my own cat from here, and the staff are amazing and polite and super sweet. I can't recommend the place enough! Plus the rules are perfect to keep people and cats safe, and its obvious that the staff really cares.

I love the Meow Parlour. I recommend registering online to guarantee you a time slot. The place is very clean and well kept. The kittens/cats are adorable and very friendly.

The staff are so friendly and place is clean. It's very inviting. The kittens/cats are so sweet and add super cute but sleeping when I got there. I would definitely recommend this place. Just to let you know, you will have to pay $8 to enter which is fine. I didn't get my cat today but I'll return for sure.

What a wonderful way for these lil buddies to find a home. Meow Parlour works with a local shelter in Harlem, features a handful of rescues in an immaculately kept kitty playground and invites cat lovers in for a nominal fee to pet, play, have a homemade scone and cup of coffee and hopefully adopt a kitty and give them a forever home. When I went with my daughter, the staff was nice but professional and very focused on the cats-the rules were clear, no picking up, keep track of your own time etc. None of the cats seemed stressed, afraid of people, irritated or agitated. Cats and humans coexisted blissfully in 30min increments. At the end of our visit, a young man adopted, Lint, a little black and white kitty he had met several days earlier over some catnip and a cup of coffee. Last time I checked, all you could get with your latte at Starbucks was a lemon pound cake?! Good work Meow Parlour.

A small cat cafe but they treat their cats very well. There's very strict rules regarding no young children and not picking up cats or disturbing sleeping cats, which is big issues in less well-managed cat cafes letting patrons overwhelm their cats socially. All the cats are also up for adoption which is a big plus.

We actually never got to go in and play with the kitties but it looked really really nice in there! They had some super playful kittens that I wish we could have played with but alas, we came too late! Next time I'm in NYC, I'm definitely making an appointment!!

The place is great, I've been here before and never had a problem with anyone else before, the woman at the reception was kind of rude to me though. My friends were late for the appointment and it was raining like crazy outside. She rudely told me I wasn't welcome until my friends showed up, she didn't even explain me why. If she would have told me "it's store policy" I would have gotten it, but they cram as much people in there as they can anyway, I mean they could've let me in and make me pay an extra $8 while I was waiting for my friends

Lovely place for cat lovers. They have both kittens and cats when we were there. You pay for the entrance and 30 minutes, more time and you'll pay a little extra. They also have drinks and something to munch on, which you pay for separately. They also have merch that you can buy. We really liked it, there were not too many people when we were there, which was great.

It's a cat cafe. Just remember to call ahead to get an appointment. The place tends to get tourists

Lots of cats to play with and relax around. They are great cats that put up with a lot. They were all relatively young. Most were sleeping at first but woke up half way through. Nice to have the food package from next door and just be around the cats while eating. Though they will try to steal the food. The staff is friendly and care about their cats deeply. Great place!

A relaxing go to spot for people who love cats and animals- it’s a very soothing experience to be surrounded by (usually) 10+ cats in the cafe, where you can play together, pet and hang around. Book in advance to ensure you get a spot, especially during popular hours. The cafe also offers baked goods, desserts and drinks from the next door cafe. I started as a visitor but now also have been partnering with Meow Parlour as a cat foster parent. It’s a truly rewarding experience, with a team of dedicated people who wish for the best for these adoptable cats and kitties. Meow Parlour also runs fun events such as cat behaviorist panel sessions, cat yoga, drag bingo etc. It’s great for people who wish to spend some quality time with cats, and people who are thinking of adoption as you get to see the cat’s behavior while visiting.

The online booking process was very efficient and user friendly. We got to pick the date & time for our visit, the package we would like, and prefilled our waivers. The staff was absolutely friendly and gave info on all of the wonderful cats there. We had a great time and got our kitty fix in!

Beautiful space with knowledgeable staff and adorable adoptable cats. We adopted from here and highly recommend if you are looking for a cat (or cats) to take home or if you just want to hang out and pet them

Questions & Answers

When I went there, I didn't see anything that displayed the price for the adoption fee. My guess is around $100 to $175

It's $7 per person per 30 min with options to extend your time as you go, depending on the time slot. There are also different prices for different events, check their website for event dates/pricing.

Reservations are recommended. When we went, we had reservations and saw several others waiting for cancelations. If it's not too busy you may be able to sneak in.

You pay for the first half hour when you make the reservation. If you want to stay longer than the initial half hour, you can pay for the additional time in half hour increments at the Meow Parlor. When I went, it was $6 per half hout, but I recommend that you check the website for any changes.

You can start the adoption process, but because of your age, you'll probably need parental/guardian consent.
