Melanie's Food Fantasy

My wife had the Melanie's burger & I had their jalapeno burger. Both were outstanding, and the homefries were tremendous. It was our first time through Boone, NC. But when we go through again, we'll stop by and try something else. One other thing, they were very busy, which also says a lot. Our waiter, Eric, was very attentive. But, not overly so.

If I lived here I would be a regular!! The food was delicious! Had the Eggs Benedict . Sat outside. It was nice. Folks had there pets with them which I enjoyed as well.

10/10 best breakfast in Boone!! Everyone that works there is amazing but also THE FOOD 😫 so good.

Kiddo had the avocado eggs Benedict and my lady and I had the Truckers breakfast. The staff were super friendly, the food portions and taste on point. Well worth the nearly hour wait. Will for sure be back

Although the wait is usually long you can walk around King Street until your table is ready and explore a little part of Boone! AND the food and atmosphere make it totally worth the wait! Gluten free options taste wonderful and they're very concious of gluten allergies!

Amazing atmosphere. Great food. A bit pricey, but worth the experience. I wish I had gotten our servers name. Such a super duper personality!

Really great breakfast and service BUT I don’t think it’s worth waiting over an hour for. It’s your typical breakfast; pancakes, eggs, meat, biscuits. It was a nice atmosphere, but just your typical breakfast food. They should definitely offer coffee while you wait for a table. We had to walk to a nearby coffee shop for a cup of joe.

This place is a 'must visit' for the wife and I any time we are in the high country escaping the Triangle. The coffee is EXCELLENT! Anything that I've eaten here has been very good, but do your mouth a favor and get one of their pancakes or waffles. Do NOT miss this place, if they're crowded (which they sometimes are) it's well worth the wait.

Meh... coffee was better than Sunrise Grill. But Sunrise rules the breakfast scene in Boone. I see what Melanie's is trying to do - but in the end, at least what we had was lackluster.

Erik was an awesome server. Food was delicious. Home fries are great. Sausage gravy biscuit is bomb. Mimosa hit the spot. Well done brunch.

Phenomenal. Even if you go just for the pancakes, GO! The biscuits are amazing. The grits are amazing. The home fries are amazing. The coffee is amazing (even the decaf). Should I use words other than amazing? The Mexican omelet is exquisite. If you want to go all-in, the extreme Appalachian breakfast is the way to go, but at the end of the day you can't make the wrong choice if you choose something from Melanie's.

Great first visit to Melanie's! Our waitress was phenomenal and kind. The food was pretty good as well! Don't have regular sausage though? Struck us as odd, but we'll be back for sure! Sat outside with our pup and the staff were very accommodating to the pets!

Our food came out colder than we would've liked, but it was still pretty great. The place was a little busy but the service was still nice and made for an excellent experience. They have a lot of vegetarian options and some alcohol beverages as well (Mimosas, wine). It's a great place for breakfast or brunch or a date even. Definitely somewhere to try when you're in the area 👌🏽

Amazing food! Fresh ingredients and superb dishes with many vegetarian\vegan options. Small and very popular so be prepared for a long wait, especially on weekends, but totally worth it!
