Great burgers! We've only gotten food for pick up, but generally they're pretty accommodating. Overall Id highly recommend!

The Schmitter sandwich was delicious! The sauce complimented the meat and the meat to bread ratio was perfect! Even the coleslaw on the side was great! We came all the way from NYC and this sandwich did not disappoint! The service was good too, they were very friendly. Overall, my only regret was that I got the roll not the hero. Do yourself a favour and try it out!

Home of the schmitter! Very old school vibe. Great food

Small place and feels homey. Service is great but a bit pushy if you sit at a table too long. Guinness pour was underwhelming, especially for an Irish bar. Schmitter is worth the trip!

A city icon. The schmitter is easily one of the best sandwiches in all of Philly! People are incredibly nice and friendly. Small, tiny place, but you'll feel like you're in your aunt's kitchen. Add it to your list if you're in the area!

Absolutely the best chicken cheesesteak anywhere. Fun place, good to go watch the game and drink a few beers, or take the kids and grandparents for lunch. Busy place, friendly staff, the best food.

Place has good drinks and the Schmitter is tasty. There are some interesting people drinking here to say the least. Good times !

Great service and incredible food! The Schmitter is a must! Basically thinly sliced beef with a special Schmitter sauce, cheese, tomatoes and fried onions on a Kaiser Roll and served with chips or cole slaw (I recommend the cole slaw). You won't regret it! Also the Guinness here is amazing and it pairs well with the sandwich. Other good things to get are the Chicken Chowder and homemade chocolate cake! The establishment is rather small and seating is limited, especially on busier days like Fridays and Saturdays, but the wait time has never been long on my experience so definitely stay!

DELICIOUS spicy Bloody Mary, followed by a Toby (it's a Schmitter with crisp bacon added), and since it was my birthday, my group ordered a slice of each cake - carrot, coconut, chocolate. I can't say enough about how hot and fresh the sandwich was, or how rich and tasty the cakes were! Love this place!

Hard to find, but worth it! Extremely friendly staff, food was awesome! First impression was that we shouldn't bring in our three teenage boys (looks like just a bar from the door), but everyone welcomed us in. Search this one out!

Put it this way. We drive a half hour to get a sandwich (and/or chili). I like the grill at the bar. Going to the potty is an adventure through the basement. We love it.

Love this place my baby and I had a fun time. Waitress and the owners really went out of there way to make sure you were good. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect
