A friend suggested this place, and I'm glad I listened. It was super crowded when my group got there, but no one minded because there were heaters outside so you can wait in comfort. It was definitely worth the wait because the food was amazing! The plates were reasonably priced and service was prompt.

Amazing. No need to keep reading just stop in for some food. Two separate groups of friends recommended this place to us so we went as a group. All of our food was great. We went in the morning and the place was packed. Even though it was 36 degrees we are outside. Some tables had propane fireplaces and they gave everyone blankets. We could have waiting for a table inside but I wouldn't have changed a thing. The food was great and the staff were awesome as well. Highly recommended.

We were in Bend for a few days and were in search of a new brunch spot when we stumbled upon McKay Cottage Restaurant! This place was absolutely amazing and did not disappoint. We opted to sit outside on the patio with our two Siberian Huskies and it was so nice that some of the tables had fire pits (helps for those chilly days). Our waiter was very attentive and prompt with our orders. As soon as we were seated, our beverage orders were taken and another staff member brought out a bowl of water for our pups and two large dog treats (how nice!). The atmosphere was great and all staff members were very nice and on point with service. I chose the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes with fresh berries and my husband got the McKay Cottage Potatoes, both choices were excellent! We shared a homemade scone with fresh jam while waiting for our food to arrive. We will definitely visit this wonderful place next time we are in Bend!

A very cozy breakfast place I like to eat at whenever I am home. I recommend calling ahead or getting there early because it fills up quickly but whether it’s warm or cold it’s providing some of the best breakfasts. They have blankets and heaters outside so as long as it’s not raining your going to enjoy a great meal! I highly recommend the cinnamon roll!

One of the best breakfast places I've ever been too. Ranks in my book up with the top places in the country. Phenomenal food, fast friendly efficient service, and great views outside. Yes in the winter time you can still eat outside. Dress warm! They supply blankets and a table with a fire. Service was very quick too!Best Benedict I have ever had in a restaurant. Literally perfect. Excellent blueberry pancakes, great poblano cheddar scones, and amazing mascarpone cheese croissant French toast. (Huge burrito too)

This place was definitely good but a little pricey. The atmosphere was cute but a little crowded. If it had been warmer I would have loved to sit outside. The outdoor space is fantastic. The waitress was really sweet and helpful too. She even gave us a cinnamon roll to take home with us because our order got a little messed up.

Some of the best service we've had at a breakfast diner! The food was fantastic, as well, and filling enough we could have split one. Definitely arrive early. We left at 8:40 AM and it was starting to fill up fast.

Food = 5 Star Hospitality = 4.5 Star. First experience. A Sunday morning breakfast. Food is tops. Quick turn on lines. (more later) - Food wait - very short. (impressive) - I understand the need to turn tables in order to keep all happy. However, we felt a bit rushed once the food arrived. Server made way to many trips to our table, often without interaction. This is not a negative review by any means, just be prepared if you hit them at peak times. You'll love it!

The people working here are a well greased machine. They are all so happy, kind, and on top of everything. I will stop here every time I visit Bend! Oh did I mention the amazing food and decor? A must visit place, but show up early ;)

Delicious food with a great outdoor seating area. They even give you blankets on chillier summer mornings! I had the Pancakes and my friends all got the Baja Chicken Hash. Everything devoured!

Stopped here on our way to the hot springs. The ambience was warm and inviting. The food was ridiculously good, and they catered to our requests perfectly. It was also a birthday meal, and they surprised us with an exquisite birthday treat! They bake their own goods, and the source locally. The dishes were remarkably bright and delicious. This place is a gem!

McKay's is the BEST BREAKFAST and BRUNCH in town. Everything on their menu is always so fresh and absolutely delicious. There may be a long wait during peaks times, but it is very much worth the wait. They have a nice outdoor seating area where each table has fire pits built-in. Everything on the menu is great... the Eggs Benedict and Croissant French Toast are two solid favorites here. I go here as often as I can! Yum!

Very good place for breakfast. Our hotel recommended this spot and it didn't let us down. The food was great. The service was great. Very nice and helpful staff. All the items served were fresh and delicious. If your in Bend and looking for a sure thing, this is your go to spot.

The food was a 3 the staff was a 5. I came in on my first trip to bend. Let me start off by saying the pace is beautiful and just being there is an enjoyable experience. As for the food the hollandaise sauce tasted like mayo the potatoes were not salted and the house made catchup was not good (sometimes simple is better). On my way out i had a nice coverstation with the people at the bakery counter and got a chocolate chip cookie that was a lot better than it looked. In fact the chocolate chip cookie was the best thing I ate on the whole trip.
