McCarter's Bbq

We were visiting Cape Coral a year ago and smelled the goodness of smoked meat as we drove by. I had it in my mind all year to find out where it came from. Today I found McCarters. My family questioned my choice to stop at this little hole in the wall place... until we tasted the ribs. It’s cash only and carry out only. They only have ribs and chicken legs. Mr McCarter was friendly and casual, and when I asked he said he’s been doing this since he was 12. He seems to be a local secret. This is basic good southern meat smoking.

It's been about four years since I've had ribs from here, but I can't stop thinking about them. I moved to Colorado where BBQ is not nearly as refined and have struggled to find anything that even comes close to these. Hoping I can come back for some more soon!

Best dive BBQ around...Ribs are so tender they fall off the bones... And the portions oh my... Rib tips plate feeds 2-4 in my family, or save some for later.. Delicious👍
