Matt's Big Breakfast

Matt’s was recommended by the Sheraton concierge for breakfast. Their biscuits and gravy special was great and service equally as good. I don’t understand how anyone could give a review under 5 stars

We visited Matt's in Scottsdale when it was just opened (5 days) and what a wonderful, grand treat. A Warning - if you are not really, really hungry - it might not be for you. But, the food is great, the ambiance is outstanding, the manager visits your table, and you never, ever walk away hungry. I actually give it 6 stars - it is that good. A few of my friends and I traveled to Phoenix for an event and stopped at Big Matt's twice for breakfast. The food was excellent, the portions were big, and the check was small. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

I choose the breakfast special, a 3 egg scramble with spinach, sausage and harvarti cheese. Served with breakfast potatoes and toast with freshly made jam. Everything was super fresh and definitely delicious! The fresh squeezed orange juice was fantastic. The coffee was really good as well. I felt like the prices were reasonable, the portions were generous, and the prices were fair. Would definitely come here again.

Hands down best breakfast place I've ever eaten at. Everything is delicious even from the type of bread they use for toast. This was our first time and we loved everything we tried! Perfectly cooked thick cut bacon, country style potatoes with caramelized onions, rosemary and butter... even the eggs tasted better! The waffles were delicious and even better was the maple syrup they had. We can't say enough good things!

Matt's Big Breakfast is one of those restaurants with such a great vibe you are already enjoying your food before it arrives. I think that is what gives this place its reputation. The food is simple but so well prepared and seasons that it tastes much better than bacon and eggs should. We enjoy ourselves and will definitely be back.

This place is awesome. Simple menu that lets you know they understand their mission and are doing it right. Great food, fantastic staff and a great atmosphere.

Delicious! It's like eating at your grandma's for breakfast. Big servings, everything I ate I wanted more of, potatoes, omelet, BACON, fresh squeezed lemonade. Friendly staff in a quaint little setup. Will definitely be eating here again very soon.

The foods was amazing and was homemade. Our experience with our servers was delightful. Everyone there waited on us. If someone seen you needed something they were on it! Love this place! I had a ham steak and eggs, thick juicy ham steak, eggs cooked perfectly. My wide had the same with a pancake, pancake was moist and had a sweet flavor. Highly recommend!!!!

The food was the best i have ever had. You feel like you are at home the way the amazing employees help you. Once you come once anytime you are downtown you will go again.

Awesome breakfast place!! I had the breakfast Burrito with sourdough toast! There toast was amazing with the homemade jam! The atmosphere was very up to date and you can tell they care about there customers. Topped my coffee off all the time. Highly recommended if your in Phoenix!

I've been coming to Phoenix for years, and this is a MUST for breakfast when I'm there. As packed as it always is, we never wait long, and the service is excellent. The bacon is a religious experience, and if you have a dairy allergy - their oatmeal is outstanding! The little jars of flowers on the table always make me happy. There seems to be a correlation between great restaurants and employees with a lot of longevity - and it's always so nice to see the same faces there, even though I only come once a year and don't live in the state. Walking distance from the convention center and downtown hotels.

Fantastic breakfast joint! It gets busy but was very well organized with a host taking names outside. Plenty of seating and space to wait outdoors. The food was terrific! We had the special of the day and an omelet, with hash browns. All the staff were really friendly and helpful! Very prompt service, food came out quickly.

I hate potatoes and this place makes want to eat them, their home fries are amazing! Wait can be pretty long weekend mornings but it's definitely worth it. Great service, very clean, delicious food, and the price is on point. Try the homemade jams.

One of the busiest breakfast places in downtown Phoenix! There’s a huge line! We waited for about 20 mins! Services are provided pretty quick. Sometimes too fast for some guests who may have English as second language. Portions are big! Cozy and friendly! Little tight space! Not too spacious for large families with kids!
